Our players got kicked from pillar to post by the whole Chelsea team and got no protection.
They're young and they reacted badly in the second half, which clearly goes against your version of events.
Your older, more cynical players tried to go head-to-head from the outset and it failed.

Costa's like Suarez, in that he acts like a ****bag, but creates a victim image with the press.
He's constantly harping on about being treated badly, while he should be sent off in virtually every game.
He's had one red in England, IIRC. Suarez didn't get any, despite being banned for about half his time here.

You call those Goon games examples of how you "match Chelsea's thuggishness" ?? :D

Nope. Our shot had realistically gone before that game. But not as far back as for the Goons.

It was a really bad game in terms of fouls and bad feeling. The ref should have stamped it out much earlier in the game, he basically let it get out of control. Your players completely lost their heads in that game. Is it really just one red for Costa ?! That's shocking, he could have been sent off 2 or 3 times already this season !

No it hadn't. That Chelsea game was pivotal for you and you blew it when you were winning. You then fell apart and surrendered 2nd place to us with a 5-1 tonking by relegated Newcastle. There's nothing to applaud your team about in that Chelsea game.

Everton in the FA Cup last season. Two yellows.
He could easily be sent off in virtually every game. What really annoys me is that he's never banned post-match.
Everyone sees what he does, the TV shows endless replays and then... nothing. Ridiculous.

It is totally ridiculous. Why have retrospective punishment if you're not going to use it ? Costa basically knows that he can get away with the **** he does because he plays a 'dirty' game and the refs don't pull him up for it. If that were any other player, they would be getting carded time and again.

Nope. The WBA game was more pivotal than that.
But dropping 6 pts to those thugs, and then having numerous "world class" players
suspended for several games due to Costa con : title derailment by February.

Any other player? Not quite. Suarez got away with it, too. He had to bite and racially abuse people.
Most other players wouldn't get away with it though, especially if they played for another team.
Imagine Joey Barton or Lee Cattermole committing some of those offences. They'd be in jail! <laugh>

People saying Costa is like Suarez <laugh>

Suarez would eat that ****er alive.

plus he's 50 times the player Costa will ever be.

You dropped points against WBA and I seem to remember Deli Alli losing his head in that game too. But the Chelsea match saw your team implode.

Suarez was a dirty little ****er, but his skill and tenacity was incredible to watch.

Lee Bowyer. They would have sent him to the tower if he'd done half the stuff that Costa has !

Not enough to lose nor get players sent off.
I guess Spurs were fortunate that we didn't play Chelsky in January and have
them end our PL campaign as they did to the Goons.

Irrelevant. You were 0-2 up and the title was still on at that point. You folded under the pressure and the team imploded, ultimately bottling 2nd place to us as a result.

I wouldn't say Spurs bottled it. I just think a young and small squad ran out of steam. Arsenal, as ever, started playing when the title was lost and snuck into second, achieving nothing more or less.
