Someone playing silly beggars? If they were going to give Jimmy a squad number, then why didn't they give one to Oli and Ghilas? Bit strange anyway!
Have given up trying to work this out. Now throws the spotlight back onto JB just before the Blackpool match, exactly what we didn't need.
actually I've worked it out, at the beginning of the match Jimmy and Nigel are going to come to the centre of the pitch and yell April Fools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a coincidence. We'd assigned numbers 1-26 and having decided (probably for some detailed legal reason) to give him one, he gets the next available one which is 27.
Best case scenario: We've found suitors for Oli and Ghilas, which removes £35k from the wage bill and almost covers Jimmy's wages. Pearson and Jimmy then kissed and made up, and now Jimmy is fired up for the new season and determined to get us back in the Premier League. Now that's realism for you!
Mmmm... the plot thickens. Maybe the 2 week suspension was to give him a kick up the arse and show that his behaviour won't be tolerated and was issued as a show of intention if it continues, a last chance (not that he needs anymore). As others have said what about Oli and Ghilas, I can't see there being any legalities in issuing squad numbers.
I don't get why he'd be given a squad number. Everyone knows we want rid as he's a drain on resources and a negative influence at the club. Also I don't think we really need him. Especially if Cairney performs to the best of his ability this season.
The answer is already above. If you suspend someone in the workplace you will always put him on next weeks rota. Actually surprised he wasn't on there initially and can imagine there have been some angered words said as to the schoolboy mistake that took place
Basso No. 1. is that the plan? i thought Gulacsi was going to be our main man between the sticks. guess i've been discombobulated too!
Basso is the only permanent keeper of the two. I doubt Basso would be too impressed if a loanee was chosen as number one ahead of him. Sort of like having a loanee as a captain, you just don't do it.
