Costa is a ****, but he's effective and he wins points for his team. He seems to have a knack of just staying this side of getting sent off and it works for him and Chelsea. There's nothing I'd like to see more than somebody leave the boot in on him and give him a taste of his own medicine. But Spurs tried it last season and they completely lost their heads and ended up embarrassing themselves and getting picked off by Chelsea.
No, I was right, they did: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/34191867 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35336663 Gabriel, Cazorla and Mertesacker all off, as they lost 2-0 and 1-0.
Not as much as Costa upset your team, apparently! Not sure how you managed to forget that, to be honest.
Who said I have ? I already said he's a ****. We've been on the end of his antics and it's cost us too. Spurs tried to match Chelsea for thuggishness though and came completely unstuck, it was the catalyst for your implosion at the end of last season.
We got nobody sent off and drew twice. You got three players sent off and lost twice. It's clear to everyone who tried to match Chelsea's thuggishness and blew it.
Ten-man Arsenal missed the chance to go top of the Premier League as Diego Costa's winner gave Chelsea victory at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners never fully recovered from defender Per Mertesacker's 18th-minute red card, awarded by referee Mark Clattenburg after he hauled down Costa as the striker raced clear. The revitalised Costa scored the decisive goal five minutes later ... ------ Defender Kurt Zouma - preferred to dropped captain John Terry - headed the opening goal after 53 minutes and Chelsea secured only their second win in six Premier League games this season when Eden Hazard's shot flew in off Calum Chambers late on. This barely tells the story of a game that will leave Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger furious and frustrated in equal measure as he saw his players fall victim to the trademark and predictable wind-up tactics of Chelsea striker Diego Costa. ------ Spurs for losing neither game nor getting sendings off due to Costa con.
I don't think so. Costa is a **** and knows how to kick and dig away without getting pulled up, players react, as ours did and it cost us dearly. We've got a terrible recent record against Chelsea, but we don't go into those games trying to 'out thug' them like Spurs did. You lot completely lost your heads in that game and psychologically you imploded. As for Costa, I can't believe he gets away with it so many times, how many red cards has he actually got ?
Completely hollow applause. It cost you your shot at the title and was also the catalyst for you bottling 2nd place to us.
