The Tarts are out in force tonight, in stilettos as well! There's a lot of negative vibes on here lately, too many Bluetits calling in for a cupa! Talking of giving one star Jager, I'm in the middle of giving the Vauxhall dealer Baylis, in Hereford a one star, went all the way up there to look at a Zafira DTi SRi this afternoon, what a lode of junk, Network Q, more like Network S crap, they should be selling Combine Harvesters, not fit for anything else, never mind had a nice pint on the river in Ross-on-wye on the way back.................. please log in to view this image

Well you are lucky, I got to be Aberystwyth tomorrow by 9am, spend all day driving around seeing clients, then drive to Builth Wells for an appointment there at 5pm, I think my company deserves 1 star for giving me a day with 250 miles driving in the back of beyond lanes in this part of the world
Used to do 60,000 a year on the road, for a company called Scottish Amicable, and Equity & Law! Glad that's over, the capitalist can do his own running around as far as I'm concerned these days, though you've got some nice scenery there Jager............. please log in to view this image
Yeah it is nice scenery but I was down pembroke dock today, yesterday it was welshpool, and the day before swindon, how much scenery is enough ? lol doing about 40k-45k a year at the mo, its enough!
Yes know what you mean, I didn't have kids in those days, so was not too bad, would never choose that know though, used to get in some days at 12:30 in the night, hell my wife was long suffering!....................... please log in to view this image
Presumably contracts exist between the various parties involved, with rental terms clearly delineated. Without actually having access to the contract/contracts it's all purely guesswork. If the contract allows for increased rent should Swansea City get promoted, then that increase becomes due.If no provision for any increase, then there is no increase.I don't see what the fuss is all about. Let the lawyers sort it out.
we dont pay rent and never have...we pay what is agreed with all concerned our portion for the upkeep of the stadium. the ospreys pay their share, the council pay their share and we pay our share, all parties benefit......its called running costs that every club has to pay, we as a club has done this better than most clubs and thats why we have been successful and others have not......as we are now a premiership club then we should put a bit more into the pot and im sure that this is being discussed but certain councilars want us to pay a lot more than we should, the leader of the council Mr Holly has called these councilors more or less idiots as swansea city has put swansea and wales on the map with all the success that as been achieved over the last 5 years. and not only swansea and surrounding parts but the whole of wales will benefit to some degree in the future.......rent...theres no such thing.....
Thing is wasn't Holly in charge of the council, or if not was one of the main men in planning the stadium ? The guy is a hypocrite and trying to get cheap shots on his campaign to become the leader of the incompetents again in elections !
I thought Holly was the one defending what the swans were paying now? The one saying that the council cant ask for more money now just because of our new status?
I agree that the council messed up. There is an agreement in place and so that's it. You can't go changing the rent based on the success of a business. But I read that the stadium cost £27 million to build. Where did that money come from? And who owns it? I though the council owned it. So that seems to imply that someone gave the council £27 million to build a stadium. Yes there are jobs, but maybe more jobs would have been created if they spend the £27 million elsewhere. And surely the retail park could have been built without the stadium. And also copper quarter. I don't see how that's connected to the stadium. But to people who don't like football the must wonder why football gets a £27 million investment while they get nothing.
I mis-read this but have just re-read it. It the council sold the land to the retailers and used that to build the stadium, then the money is from taxpayers. If the council sold the land for £27 million (for example), then that money could have been used to cut the council tax. So taxpayers have ended up paying more than they would have paid if the stadium hadn't been built. Do you think if someone wanted a stadium for a less popular sport that the council would jump in like this? No they wouldn't. Football is being given special benefits that it doesn't deserve.
its money well spent and even though i dont like Mr Holly and his cronies he is right saying that our premiership status is a massive benefit to all. it was the best £27 million spent that has reaped rewards for the people of swansea, the council alone raked in masses of money staging concerts like Pink,Elton john rod Stewart and JLS. the city has benefited greatly out of the liberty stadium...
JLS? should get Robbie Williams, went to his concert here at Suncorp Stadium, would of been 60000 there the way they set the stadium up, always ways to make a profit (though he did get fined for lighting up a *** in a non smoking area)
Just make sure you pay your rent for your stadium, because you don't own the freehold to the land! Also the swans are abiding to the contracts at hand pikey, what more should we do ?
