Brendan Guilfoyle has asked the Heaney Phantoms to cough up some money now or things could go very pear shaped. The season is only two days away and the pot is empty.......will he give them a final ultimatum,...........will he open the sale to others who can put money in the pot. It is very near the end one way or the other for wheeling and dealing Heaney, if things collapse for him he'll have to move to Siberia or South America. .
Wealready have a man in South America plymborn so no good him going there. In fact we have "a man" everywhere so he would have to pick another planet altogether. Time for plan B that they all said couldn't happen to start warming up then. It's too late to get all gloomy again so lets not bother.
It seems as if our Brenda has grown a pair and become Brendon again ..... how has it taken him so long what we've all known for ages that Heaney doesn't appear to have the money ..... the league are making an announcement about us tomorrow too !
http://www.plymouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=249625 Shocking that "they" have been allowed to string us along for the whole of the pre-season with promises of money which never materialised (scratches head) now where have I heard this before???
Come on Jools these so called professionals should have heard the alarm bells ringing ages ago, we all did !
The PB are the Japs! With Toad and co. Same old Argyle with the same old clowns! Lets wait and see what happens next in this on going saga. At least the football starts and we have a team.
Ahh to hell with it I found a quid down the back of the sofa so I´m gonna splash out and buy the club. With my green shield stamps and piggy bank I probably have more backing than that piggy eyed, ginger little weasel and Honest Pete.
Well, everything about that man is hateable but Brendan Guilfoyle? Sounds like his mother named him to irk people.
Not living locally I am not privileged to what Guilfoyle and the Fans Trust said on local radio this morning.............did it help......... or....... just muddy the water a little bit more ?
Missed it myself....but you can download BBC radio Devon on iPlayer...just go to the website bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/bbc_radio_devon. Hope you find it
A complete seachange has occurred. Fans having speculated endlessly on little or no knowledge of the detail of the deal is meaningless, irrespective of whether it has turned out to be right or wrong. The administrator starting to air concerns in public on the basis of complete detailed knowledge is an entirely different kettle of fish and I suspect we are officially back on Death Row.
I think that heinous Heaney and his so called Phantoms needs to be grilled by the Football League, to see if he has any honorable intentions regarding PAFC and his position at Truro.
Guilfoyle is either not impartial to say the least, or he had a little devil on his shoulder, called Ridsdale, whispering constantly about which bid to go with. Now Heaney can't provide the funds and we're back where we started. ****ing Ridsdale is no saviour and we have been left in the **** on the eve of the new season.
hp_bedoboy..........thanks for the address......I'll add that to my favourites.........I don't know why I havn't done that before.
Good afternoon Plymborn, I missed the show because Brenda overslept so he wasn't on when he was supposed to be .... The gist of the interview was BG's statement that it would be sorted "next week." Friday the 12th is D-Day and he says he is in daily contact with BIL and they continue to assure him that the deal will go through. He sounded tired, exasperated and downright fed up, no doubt due in part to being woken up to do the interview.... What I wanted to hear was that the 12th was a definite cut off point but he continues to evade that and is putting all his faith in Heaney being honest and upfront. In the meantime he is full of admiration for Reid and Ridsdale as they continue to bail out the water and keep the ship afloat and I echo that sentiment. Oh, how 3 points tomorrow will calm the nerves of the next seven days!
I find it difficult to believe very much that is being said these days. By my reckoning we have passed two deadlines already and still the staff are unpaid...
GAT has described very well what was said this morning. A deadline of 12th Aug (next Friday) has (apparently) been given but when pushed he would not say it wouldn't be extended. I was more interested in the tone of his voice and the way he avoided giving any definate answers tbh. Not to put too fine a point on it he sounded very downbeat, tired and unconvincing. I got the feeling he wasn't believing his own words.
