I made a cheese and ham bagel with egg to fill in the hole. Toasted in the oven. Was the greatest sandwich I ever had.
With regard to sandwiches, I'm the complete opposite, never tasted a ham sandwich at a 'do' that was nicer than my own - similarly with roasties, can't beat home cooked. Maybe ask your aunt to invite us round for the next party - purely for research purposes of course
I've recently discovered jalepeno and 4 cheese loads from tesco bakery bit. Absolutely awesome, £1.50 I think it was. Delicious
My sister's roasties cold in the evening, dipped in cold gravy and smeared with cold carrot and swede. Only she can cook them like my mum used to do. I've been to parties that have paid hundreds for a cold spread, and I'd kill for cold roasties instead of the smoked salmon and ****ing vol au vents that they've spent a fortune on or spent hours making.
Agreed. Also we used to have the leftover roasties as bubble and squeak the next day - on the very rare occasions there were any 'leftover'.
Best burger is your own home made. I did fried onions, egg, home meade steak bruger (1/2 pound, fresh lettuce and so forth. really really top. If you can get the egg just runny enough the hot egg o ntop and ice cold lettuce under the burger... hmmmmmmmmm
Super fussy when it comes to roast potatoes. Have to be small and super crispy with pretty much air in the middle. Not a big fan of the actual fluffy but of potato... Unless it's left to go cold then I'll eat them cold. Sometimes even better as they seem to crisp up even more (or maybe it's just the lack of gravy)
This is so true. When I frequent my favourite gourmet burger establishments, I specifically request Horsemeat. But do I get my horsemeat? Neigh! Oh, they tell me it's horsemeat and it says horsemeat on the lable, but it is 100% beef!!! Scandalous I tell you, you wouldn't catch supermarkets pulling a fly one like this.
no.... its down to what its made of. flora is advertised as good for you therefore it tastes bad... that is vegetable oil or whatever... A honest butter (and BTW US has no good butter IMO) is much nicer one of the nicest spead is that german pork fat thing that they serve up in traditional places. pure lard with salt and little bit of spring onion or what have you finely chopped and inserted.. ****ing ace stuff that.
