Well, most voted Leave, but people deserve the right to vote even if they're easily swayed by propaganda, xenophobia or anything else.

How would a one vote per house system work? It's a quite bizarre suggestion.

David Davis current answers to questions in parliament are quality. Looks like he's realised Brexit is going to be a nightmare.

As the survey conducted Bloomberg in Sunderland showed, a large number of people didn't really have much of a clue what they were voting for, they just felt that a) if Cameron was for it, they were against. And b) it had to be better than what they've got now!..

Sadly, they'll find they were wrong!....

He told them this is the most complicated negotiation in history, he's not even sure triggering Article 50 will be the way out of the EU and that every expert he asks gives a different answer

No one group of people is "to blame" for the vote. Whether or not you see it as the better result will determine if you think anyone is "to blame" at all. Some groups were highly in favour of leaving (old people, white British people etc.), others were more likely to vote to remain (young people, most ethnic minorities etc.)

It is bizarre. If you like party A and your wife likes party B, does the ArmchairBlue family therefore vote for party A? Perhaps you have an adult son or daughter who likes party C.

I'm sure some would say if you're not contributing to the country you don't deserve to vote on its future?

Then they'd be wrong. Remain would have won the referendum if you excluded all those who are "not contributing" if that's what you're getting at.

Would you feel the same if you found yourself on the wrong side of the IQ line that determined a right to vote?

If they had another referendum tomorrow, these new rules of yours would preclude dole scum Cameron from voting. He's knackered now, he walked out so no giro for 6 months. <ok>

Did I say that? Our media's run by propaganda peddlers, that's the problem.

Elections are won on what people believe, rather than what's actually true.
There was a pre-General Election online poll that asked people who they'd vote for based upon policies that had no party attached to them.
The Tories came last out of the six parties that were used, as people don't like their actual policies.
People don't know what they're voting for, in a lot of cases, because they're misinformed by the media.

Has it? Lots of people aren't "contributing". The retired, students, housewives. It would be a relatively small pool of people making decisions, especially in your fantasy one house one vote world. I'm still curious to know what happens in a house where more than one adult lives and they don't all agree.
