Same as Kos' goal on Saturday... said this few times on LFC board on last couple of days. How an overhead kick isn't a high foot but a bouncing ball waist height is an odd one.
Raised foot will be given - @ if the ball is not cleanly hit and opp head is near @ if the ball is missed and opp head is near @ if ball is missed and opp head is caught None of these happened with Costa or Kos goals. hardly contentious.
I don't know. Id see it as a missed opportunity myself. That left hand is inviting a nice crunching stamp, studs n all. Or just fall on top of Costa right elbow crunch in his head. Naughton has let the country down.
I'm calling this one early....if Terry is out for the Liverpool game and Luiz comes in, Liverpool's attacking players will have Sideshow Bob running around like a headless chicken. Possibly the worst team he could make his second debut against!
Is that actually the rule? I reckon you'd get a free-kick against you every time for that on the halfway line.
Liverpool play good attacking football and the front men link well. Luiz will be chasing shadows. Fortunately your defence is ****e.
I can't speak for anyone else but I'd get tired of Costa and his antics very quickly. He's gotten away with it but, objectively, he should have had at least two red cards this season already and weak/poor refereeing has helped him a lot.
His foot was way too high in a crowded penalty area, and very close to another player's head. It was dangerous and should have been disallowed.
Watching Costa in the flesh you can see that at every opportunity he's giving someone verbals off the ball. He's a grade 'A' **** imo. I'm surprised no-one has slotted him yet tbh.
The only consolation, Tobes, is that everybody's trying to kick seven colours out of the ****. He's whining about it already!...
Actually, Costa will head-butt the ref in the face full on. The match officials will claim they do not see it at the time, and a post-match review will see the ref get banned for 6 games for violent conduct.
