If it's as 'good' as this one, it should be an hilarious read....

Given that your away support in Europe is going to be zero this season, you might want to give that one a miss.

So, the ordinary Joe Soap, who can just make ends meet can get to see Spurs play a CL match in Wembley. Where's the problem?

I know it a WUM, but isn't that the issue these days, that tickets are so overpriced that most honest punters can't afford it.

More of this I say, cheaper tickets, fill up the place and have a good atmos.

I'm not sure logic like this enters the OP's mind. Judging by the unsuccessful wum attempt his brain cell(s?) are otherwise engaged or possibly just completely vacant.

Indeed. Given that we're set to break attendance records on Wednesday and the principle of affordable tickets 'ought' to be embraced by all, this thread has to go down as the most intellectually incompetent ever.

Well done to the OP for proving that someone with actual **** for brains can type...

It cost me £187 to get tickets to see us play Monaco, CSKA and B Leverkusen for me, my 18 yr old and 13 yr old daughters.
That's 9 tickets for less than £21 each to watch spurs in the CL.
I was expecting to be able to afford to take us to 1 match as I thought they'd be around £50 for adults and £25 for under 16s.
I am beyond happy that I could save up the money to treat me and my kids to these matches. Whoever at Spurs came up with the plan deserves a thanks <applause>

Only a fan of the beautiful game will see it like you PS.

Cock measuring insecure chavs would need therapy to evolve into football fans.

The club at the minimum will be making as much money as if the game was at WHL
(though with Levy we know that will not be so :) ) .

Twice as many Spurs supporters are going to be able to attend then if the game was
at WHL (more so now the section demolition for new WHL construction has taken
4000 off max capacity) , and at a reasonable price for supporters who nationwide
are angry about the prices London clubs generally charge.

    Complete no-brainer of a scheme.

Thanks for the compliment but it was Bald Archie who put it far better than I did.

Any idea on how much it costs to hire Wembley for the night?

I guess the sum is in the 100Ks per game. If you assume :

    - 70,000 x £25 = 1.75m for this week
    - based on THFC accounts, typical PL gate receipts of 1.17m per game

then you could pay Wembley up to 0.58m and be no worse off financially.

Never mind the football, just think about the money! Your club has the mentality of Arkwrights corner shop.

When you don't have an endless supply of money from a dubious source you haveto be prudent,

Must be close to 800m of his own money at least that Oligarsky has written off on Chelsky.

Small change for Roman on the other hand Levy would be hanging himself.

You'd have to pay me to watch the dross you usually serve up (football quality, not results). Many of your fans agree with me judging by your inability to sell out Stamford Bridge for home CL matches

I've never understood why Spuds are so bitter? There's no kudos to be had in attendances? I look at the amount of times we've qualified for the UCL and the superb exciting football we played getting to two finals and winning one.

Your 2nd only qualification to the UCL speaks volumes of the type of unsuccessful football you played.

    I'm not bitter!
I agree that there is no kudos in attendances but the OP and your comments on the thread say the opposite.
I agree that you've been more successful than us over the past few years but if you think you've played 'superb exciting football' you really need to get out more.
