Apart from the first 2 games of the season where he should have been sent off twice before scoring the winning goals late in the game?

he didn't so i take that stuff as pure bias demanding he get sent off. did he get done by video after... nope. did ref deal with it yup.

move on lads he's not going to get sent off in first 10mins and hand us and advantage. we need to be more focused on how to stop him scoring.

Tough game, we'll need to take our chances as they won't come along as often as other games. Can we get Skrtel back for this one? He loved a bit of Costa.

Should be an interesting game this. You lot smashed a very disappointing Leicester and Chelsea (and the ref) gifted Swansea a point after completely controlling the game.

Again attacking wise you look very good when in the groove, but I still think that you look very vulnerable at the back.

They have big and tall men, neither we are big or tall. Still 11 vs 11 they have the 12th man advantage

    Kante
    azpilicueta
    willian
    Fabregas
    hazard

all midgets. Only Costa, CBs and Matic that have some height.

Ivanoivc had a nasty habit of scoring off set piece against us.

Height is only useful if the delivery is good... and Chelsea have absolutely brilliant set piece delivery. we don't so i'll be surprised if matip gets on the end of anything on a set play and won't be at all shocked if we concede off one.

I don't see us remaining calm and managing this game, it'll be gunh ho and if we grab goals then great but if we don't I can see us getting frustrated and losing a goal late on. Different manager same Chelsea.

Yeah I reckon the thing will be intense but i'd rather score late in the half than too early.

I don't particularly see us getting frustrated as they won't be sitting that deep IMO they will be trying to win it. yes i could see a counter attack mentality out of conte but costa doesn't support that much. Hazard and willian could kill us wide on the counter.

I can see us running out of steam though...

Tip. Do not concede the first goal. If we score first it can be an advantage

Same team against Leicester except Klavan or Lovren at CB in place of Lucas if either are fit enough to play?

Would prefer Lovern to partner Matip because he has more premiership experience.

Costa should have been sent off 3 times so far this season, that's only according to the rules though

Yesterday he was on a yellow, blatant dive for a penalty, ref let him off

    I don't know.

I think milner v willian might be a challenge. Milner seems easy to lure out of position and you could get in behind but moreno might try too hard and give two pens away

I think lucas v costa is a mismatch in the air but i'd have no qualms about pace or being able to muscle the guy.

I think coutinho v sturridge is a hard call to make.

so... I think we've got pretty clear picks all over the pitch right now. clyne, matip, hderson , lallana, wijnaldum, firmino, mane.... Karius, can and coutinho are the guys to come in i suppose but where?

Keep Firmino Sturridge and Mane up front.

Same team but Lovren for Lucas. Midfield and forwards did well and even though Lucas did well, Costa would bully him I feel.

After this one we will have played the former champions (soon to be relegation dogfighters) tottenham away, arsenal away and chelsea away. If we get a draw here we will be unbeaten in our direct rivals category for the season thus far and have 3 hard away games done and dusted.

Overall 7/12 points isn't "bad" but it could have been 10 and thats a bit annoying of course.

the next three game sin block 2 after chelsea are hull swansea and utd.

I think we need to get a point here if we can then really focus on the next two games as must wins. Utd at anfield is already a huge fixture for us.

After this point there won't be another "top 4 club" seen til the 31st december so we are looking at really trying to keep in touching distance in this lbok with utd game as match 8 then really wanting a good run.

first 4 not too shabby really.
