Sorry, meant to ask earlier - should Ki have had a penalty? It seemed to us that Marriner bottled it!
The first half was similar to last season away to Southampton with the same result. Second half much better and the players were physically shattered at the end as they gave their all. Thoroughly enjoyed the game (second half) in real time.
those bias bbc englund mugs crying like little bitches about our second goal not a mention of the filthy feker costa and shyte decisions against us !
What the **** are they talking about on match of the day? Saying Fers challenge for our second cost Chelsea the game, it was 1-1 you bellends! Then Costas goal shouldn't be ruled out, even though he's booted our player in the head! Then Fabianski fouled Costa when he blatantly dived! **** off motd
There were so many errors by the ref towards both sides to be fair......Costa should have gone in the first half and Fer's goal should not have been allowed......The comedy of errors made it an exiting match to watch for the neutrals but frustrating as hell for the fans of both clubs. Im disappointed with 17 fouls but that seem to be the nature of the game but saying that how many of those were not fouls but the ref being conned by the Chelsea players..... swans had one solitary corner all game to Chelsea's 11 and 6 shots 2 that hit the target to Chelsea's 28 with 7 on target. With those statistics Chelsea threw the win away and we were very fortunate to get the draw......We are the happiest of the two teams as it is a point we should never have got but we are grateful all the same...
At the end of the day,at least we saw some sort of performance from the team in the second half, first time this season I've actually enjoyed a game,oh and Taylor grow up or piss off!
The problem with the original formation was that it was too defensive and relied on getting bodies behind the ball and force Chelsea out to the flanks and away from Hazard and Costa. The problem we had was that the formation didn't allow us to gain possession and because of this Chelsea dominated play. As the half continued our players began to feel the pressure and fell back defending deeper and deeper allowing Chelsea to come at us even more. I was told by friends who went to the game, I'm still not allowed out to play, that all the first half Guidolin was gesturing for the defense to push up but they just got deeper and deeper. The other issue was that Loriente was very poor yesterday and was supposed to be our way out of defense but even he came back to defend behind the ball, effectively locking us into our own half and giving Chelsea all the possession. With no way out other than an agricultural hoof we gave up possession to Chelsea who attack us relentlessly. Even so, we did manage to limit Chelsea to dancing around the area and looking pretty, with only one blatant one on one which they blew. Their only goal in the half came directly from yet another defensive blunder but although they had the ball all of the time, they couldn't get past Fabianski, who played out of his skin and our MOTM imo, closely followed by Fer, who is slowly dismantling my concerns about him and shoving them down my throat. It was obvious that something had to change before the dam broke and the only surprise was that it took Guidolin 40 minutes to make up his mind and pull the petulant Taylor. Imo he should have done this after 20 not just to change the formation but because Taylor was a liability. After the change we got some ball and we were able to relieve some of the pressure and compete more effectively and the rest, as they say, is history. I thought we played well in the second half and deserved our point. The last 30 minutes were excruciatingly exciting imo but the eulogy MOTD2 presented on behalf of Chelsea did not do the game justice. It was as if they were cross that we dared to take points off of one of their flagship teams. Maybe 'they' still haven't forgiven us Taffs for celebrating when the Vikings beat them. So happy to upset them yesterday though but wtf will they do if we beat Man U. Probably the studio will be decked out in wreaths and Lineker will present the show in a cassock from a pulpit looming over a coffin covered with the Flag of St George. Well, one can hope.
We well deserved our point 2nd half, a great fighting display from the lads', the atmosphere & the tension in the Lib because of the constant 'niggle' & that '2hat', no change that to 'cvnt', Costa, helped stir the excitement!! Only 1 person to blame for our 1st half & that's our manager, fvckin ridiculous formation!!! How he's getting credit for realising/changing his own fvck-up is beyond me...
I rarely watch MOTD. Too little actual football to enjoy, or otherwise, and far too much talk/interviews with people who don't have an awful lot to say other than whinge, whinge, and then for a real change, whinge a bit more. I did tune in last night, however, and was shocked to hear such bias from one of the panel. Chris Sutton certainly laid his cards on the table re The Swans', and he was allowed to do so ad nauseum. He did play for Chelsea, so I suppose that would explain it.
MOTD is living on borrowed time imo. Way too big team-centric and perpetuates the idea that teams like ours are making up the numbers - seems they've forgotten what happened last season already. I record it but am going to stop because invariably I don't play it back. Good assessment from Stumpy on the game above.
