    Why do ham sandwiches taste amazing when you go to a party, christening etc and no matter what you do you cannot replicate that taste?

    I will tell you why.

    99% of the time they are the cheapest bread and butter.. both really bad for you so therefore taste better... especially if you've a wife that insists on heart health crap.

    cheap white bread = loaded with sugar.
    Cheap butter = fat laden

    etc etc.

    You seriously don't use the very cheapest nastiest butter do you?

    Usually these sandwiches stick to the roof of your mouth they are that slobbered in butter and the bread is so soft. seriously go get the cheapest bread possible and a large tub of own brand butter thats really melty and slather it on. Then by ham thats really cheap and low end and lay on a slice and a half per sandwich. cut in 4s and there you go.

    I've done this a few times and its worked. people even bring the ****ers home to taost for their tea they thought them that nice.

    Same for cheese sandwiches. cheap it up.
