Agree. It was as I expected. Kell would do well early on until the extra weight became a factor, coupled with the power in GGGs punches wearing him down. You could see his sharpness and reflexes were slowing in round 4.
Spencer Jnr (his mandatory) would be a great fight. I'd love to see him clean up the WW division but I see him stepping up to LM now. What this fight shows us is that Kell has a superb chin, some of those shots he took would have dropped most middleweights last night.
But last night he wasn't, and to beat Eubank jnr he'd have to be at his best. Personally I'd like to see Eubank batter BJS, make a couple of defences then fight GGG at the end of 2017. As for being too clever, don't underestimate Eubank snr and Adam Booths tactical ability.
He didn't want the Andre Ward fight at SMW. And he sure as hell wouldn't step up to LH and fight Kovalev.
So hats off to Brook for testing himself, nobody at his weight is a challenge, he could have settled......but that's not the point of being champ is it ;-)
He did much, much better than I thought so huge props to him. What was even more surprising was that he planted his feet and went toe to toe and traded with him. Khan would have ran around the ring until he would have got tagged and done his usual chicken dance.
People need to remember who euwank jr has fought and where he is in his career so far. Hes loud but he has not yet proved himself capable
Meh... needs a real belt to be taken seriously and his daddy mouth and ego puts me right off. Especially the low rent digs to get publicity. Real fighters like aj never needs that... somewhere in the euwank heads is a lack of belief if they have to resort to calling out nigel benn or accusing benn jr of stuff. Nasty twats.
Using the Mayweather propaganda tactics knowing people will pay to see him get knocked out and make his wallet fatter.
The fight looked closer than what it was but in the end, Brook just wasn't hurting GGG at all and GGG's punches were too powerful. Credit to Kel because he was never going to win. Eubanks Jr pussied out and I hope he gets knocked out as well.
It was a money fight that only ever had one outcome It was a no lose fight for Brook, as when the inevitable happened his camp just had to say the move up in weight to fight the best in the World proved too much, and he'll go back to defend his Welterwight title unaffected career wise by the defeat but armed with a Lorry load of cash. Golovkin isn't hard to hit, as he doesn't move his head, a technician like Eubank could get at him, it's just whether he'd have enough to power to actually hurt him, as the guys chin is seemingly made of granite.
Eubank can talk but if he gets a beating he will be the next khan. Yeah you talk but you didn't back it.
punk never fought in his life... he's an actor... hilarious .... GGG just called out bily joe saunders so a REAL fight is coming.
