Was just about to post this........

    • The ball is in play when it leaves the penalty area
    • Opponents must be outside the penalty area until the ball is in play

I accept I was wrong as I always do when so proved <ok> :emoticon-0100-smile

Unless he was stood at the corner of the box or next to the defender :emoticon-0100-smile

Silly rule but as I have posted a few seconds ago, quite correct <ok>

It's OK D...as I said I'd forgotten about it and perfectly accepted the legality of the goal until Webb popped up mid game to remind me....you'd think another ref might remember it though lol

Yee... But the player didn't. If he was stood on corner keeper may not have passed knowing was a lot closer.

Just saying it makes sense because a player could run from the D to where Lucas was a lot quicker by going through the penalty box, then having trouble go around. That's why the rule does make sense as they could gain an unfair advantage.

We played 2 midfielders in defense and Mignolet in goal #gift

Imagine if Mourinho did something like going into a derby with no decent CMs and Rooney as RM. Oh, wait...

Refs don't care about the rules any more. Pawson's assessor probably doesn't know the rules either, bull will praise the way he "resisted an intimidating environment" by not giving Liverpool any decisions, and recommend him for European games and cup finals.

We looked great today bar a brief period after the Lucas fiasco (momentarily possessed by Skrtel) - Matip has everything needed to be a top CB in this league and played well today again, when he settles we will have some player there (new Sami) although Lovren has won me over i still think if Sakho can give his head a wobble, him and Matip could be a very good pairing for years to come.

Mane offers us another dimension altogether, admittedly i didn't watch much of him before but he has a lot more in his locker than just pace and skill, He really seems to have not just settled but flourished quickly a perfect start for him at LFC realy.. him Lallana (fantastic outside of the boot finish btw) and sturridge pulled the Leicester back 4 apart all day today.

    Still not impressed with midfield.

its early of course but with a few defensive and midfield tweaks/additions and maybe another Quality forward if im being greedy and we have a real squad to press on with.

Was also brilliant to see the new stand providing a great atmosphere.

    looking bright.

We have the potential to play great football and to beat teams comprehensively, we just need to be consistent. The GK and defence need to concentrate and not do silly mistakes.

One thing is already apparent this season. The so called mid tier like West Ham, Southampton are struggling to get results against those consudered to be the bottom clubs. Every team except the top 5 or 6 will beat each other. The key for us is not beating the likes of City or Chelsea but beating the likes of WBA Palace hull Stoke Middlesbrough .

The club has a clear philosophy of done give it to the opposition. Its clear we can expect to see mistakes but hearing assholes say smash it long or the keeper got a slap just smash it lad ignores the philosophy.

Lucas btw was given a 4 rating for one error all game which is a bit harsh. He did ok.

Matip being called a cm at cb to dig at utd or to say it was a gift to leicester is extraordinary. He is already by far our best cm and best ball player since agger. I would not say new sami. He is more like hanson in style. I can see why klopp started work on this deal from nearly day 1 of his tenure.

Lucas was under intense pressure,it was a forced error. The only alternative was for him to
    put it out of play.

Hindsight yes but should have put it out of play. Safety first by kicking it out then you have time to regroup from the throw. Never play the ruddy ball across your area, asking for trouble and exactly what we got.

Never know by then officials may have had time to realize should be a retaken goal kick.

    That went well!!

Apart from the gift, we restricted them to Vardys shot in the second half.. not bad for a make shift back four!
If we wanted to take more +tives from yesterdays game, we did that without:

    - Our new long term Goalie
    - Lovern
    - No proper Leftback
    - Can, and
    - Coutinho

Some decent depth? Apart from the poor result against Burnley, we've been supreb, should have been Spurs too!

Loved the forward play, interchangable, movement, pace and apart from Burnley, we've been pretty clinical too!
Also, for a Freebie, how good is Matip! The boy is learning the league and will only get better.
Just wish we can get a decent LB and not have to play Milner there, who to be fair has been OK.
Give Jurgen two more Transfer Windows and I think we'll have a pretty tasty looking team.

    Up the reds!

Oh, thought our Skipper was damn decent yesterday too...

Last year Leicester we're everyone's second team, don't think that will be the case this year. Everyone wants to take the scalp of the Champs.
They're still a decent side though, Marheez will come good, when he does so will Vardy, they need one of the new guys to build a good relationship with Drinkwater to give cover to the likes of Huth and Morgan, because without someone like Kante shielding them they could be in trouble.
They (Morgan and Huth) aren't good enough to repel most decent PL attacks, they'll eat up long balls all day but anything thing on the ground and they'll get pull all over, as they were yesterday.
Think Claudio may need to adopt a more pragmatic approach away from home, maybe play 4-5-1 because against the better teams 4-4-2 is both brave and foolish.
Regardless of the CL fixtures, can still see this team finishing top 10, with ease!

You can tell early doors that Mane is the real game changer in our team now and it's nice to see an expensive signing actually look like a bargain for us. I was unsure about our Summer signings but you can tell right away that him and Matip drastically improve our team and hopefully so will Karius if and when he comes in.

Firmino is gaining a bit of momentum too my only concern is he can go missing when the team isn't performing as a whole, this is why I like Mane as I don't think he'll go hiding and become a passenger but we'll wait and see.
