Illegally industrious....just saying like...you should read up on them rules....or listen to Webb like I did!
Just seen the incident again on MOTD, the ball left the area by at least 2 foot. Lucas was slow to react and miss-controlled, nothing to see here
Not when he first entered the area, you ****wit. Read the rules - the opposition player isn't allowed to ENTER the area until the ball is out of it. Dicktoss.
Doesn't matter...player entered the box before the ball had left....it really is very straight forward. Doesn't change Lucas being a muppet once he gets the ball but the offence is committed before he gets the ball to **** it up ..
Especially after the money they spent in this summer. £25m on Slimani, £17m on Musa, £13m on Mendy, £8m on Kaputska. Over £60m and recoupled £30m on Kante. That's not the transfer dealings of a team fighting relegation.
Cracking strike by Lallana btw. Thought Wiji had passed the wrong way, should have gone left to guy totally free but worked out well in the end.
Mig seemed to be back to his flappy self again today though. With Karius on the bench, get the feeling that the game against Chelsea might be Mig's last for a while. Think Karius will come in against Derby and assuming no major **** ups, will then keep the place.
If that bit is right I will hold my hands up and surrender I always understood the rule to be the ball had to leave the area and no opposition player could enter the area until it had been kicked.
Yup, said for a while that if the guy could add near 10 goals a season to his game, he would be worth £30m as he's nice and tidy on the ball, keeps it well, good in tight areas.
It would make sense that the attacker can't, or they could take a short cut through the area to get to the player before the ball does (like what happened today).
I understand what you are getting at but, the attacker wouldn't have to take a short cut, he could just stand on the corner of the box or even right next to the player. This no running across the box after the ball is kicked makes no sense at all.
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/afdeveloping/refereeing/law_16_the_goal_kick_en_47361.pdf Page 11 - The ball is in play when it directly leaves the penalty box. Page 14 - If an opposition player enters the box before the ball is in play the goal kick will be retaken.
So Mane scored the goal that ultimately counted as the winner today. So Mane Stand is it's new unofficial name.
But he did. If player didn't enter box he would have had to run sidewards along box and then down those extra 2 seconds five Lucas more time. Fact he could run in box directly to Lucas cut out he corner. Like i say, Lucas ****ed up, but law seems to state it shouldn't count. That's not interpretation, it's the rules.
