Oh yeah definitely, despite Brook giving it a go, he was never going to win. Was great entertainment though and fair play to him, done a hell of a lot better than i thought. Cracking fight though... to both fighters. Golovkin is a beast though!
I said 4th or 5th... should have stuck with one! Though my housemates not happy as he put a bet on 4th due to me saying one of those 2!
Yeah great fight. I do get the feeling as soon as GGG really brought it to Brook his corner threw the towel in though. I can understand it if his eye socket is broken though! GGG looks as though nothing hurt him at all.
15 years ago Anthony Richard Dawson from Southampton was killed. http://names.911memorial.org/#lang=en_US&page=person&id=230 You can read a bit about him here, if you like. www.lards.net/pdfs/tributes.pdf
Bit like Khan. Khan said **** all until the GGG vs Brook fight was announced. Then he started bitching about how he wanted to fight Brook and how Brook is scared of him. Khan will now shut up again. Golovkin was just to powerful for Brook. He stepped up too many weights and it was telling. Glad it got stopped when it did as Brook could have got serious eye damage. I want Brook to knock out Khan next.
102 minutes that changed the world, the 'real time' programme about 9/11 is on More4 right now. Still an unbearably shocking and moving piece of television.
In the last 24 hours I've had: a long power cut, a flood from upstairs that got so bad in the early hours that I had to call 999 and get police to check someone hadn't gone unconscious with the water still running, and the fire service to switch off all electricity in the flat and neighbouring flats. I thought I had it bad with water coming through the ceiling and making my hallway wet but upstairs is just totally wrecked. Wet walls, ceilings and standing water all over. Now my sink starts to leak soapy water as I do the dishes and all my towels are drying out. Sigh... I've been here three nights so far. Worst start to living on your own ever?
I watched the weekend PL games in a restaurant in Victoria, BC. Most of the crowd were neutral, but after every goal everyone clapped politely. There may have been more people drinking tea than beer. After the game, I think they all went gardening.
