    Portsmouth FC
    @officialpompey
    A piece of genius from Chaplin, who lifts the ball over Stewart and, with Blackman coming off his line, calmly heads over the keeper #pompey

    And the Cherry on the cake, hearing the groaned "oh no" emanate from Le Tissier on Sky Soccer Saturday as Arsenal were awarded a 94th minute dodgy penalty, which Cazorla calmly slotted home.

    Even, as the rest of the team celebrated an even later goal for Hartlepool (Merson especially so), old Big nose was still shaking his head in disbelief.

    Good win again - we showed our mettle by recovering from an early setback, with Conor Chaplin putting us 3-2 ahead just before half time with a truly splendid goal.

    Conor replaced Curtis Main in the 25th minute, with Main going off with a cut head, and he played extremely well for the remaining 65 minutes.

    Nine (yes 9) bookings in the match, with seven of them going to Wycombe players.

    Three more points, our 4th consecutive league win, and as 3rd eye said, now second in the table, with everything looking mighty fine.

    10 yellows Wooperts. We had 3 to their 7 - Gary Roberts, Carl Baker and Tom Davies.

    Incidentally when did we last win 4 in a row? Fairly sure we didn't last season.

    We won 3 in a row last April. It took us that long.

    The more you see it, the better Conor's goal looks. His cross for Carl Baker's goal was also superb.

    IMO Paul Cook has man-managed Conor superbly. On these showings he is destined for better things, just hope we don't lose him too soon.

    Beautiful player. This will probably be his last season with us, so we need to make the most of it and secure promotion.

    Hopefully, if he does leave, it will be for a massive fee, to a club that will look after and nurture him.

    I keep hoping that we go up this year and Conor decides to go up with us.

    You're comparing Conor Chaplin with Pele ?! :shocked:

    That puts another million pounds on his value <ok>
