Think was a stat saw that last year he made about 13 catches from crosses last year... in the whole season!! He's not tall, teams are going to target him in the air this year.

Can never quite understand how a guy doing An overhead kick (ie getting your foot head height) in middle of epenalty area is not a foul for heigh foot but a player putting his foot waiste height to a bouncing ball is...

 

Think that just goes to show Benteke was never suited to our style, never been a bad player just not one who is going to run around alot and close people down.

Still confuses me why we insisted on buying him, and for so much money, when it was clear thats what type of player he is (and especially after the Carroll saga)

 

Yeah don't turn into bad player overnight. Just not suited to how the managers wanted to play. Get him into a team where players will hang balls up to him in the box and he'll score you 15 goals a season and keep you up. That's why even after poor season with us, he is to some team with £30m because he'll score the goals to give them £150m in Tv revenue next year.

Players like Carroll and Benteke love a floated ball into the box, gives them time to have a run and jump onto it. None of this quick whipped balls in that have to be super accurate. Just float it in and let him beat his defender.

He looked dodgy when pressured on the ground as well, may be good with his feet but not with anyone near him.

 

Would have been a totally different game, de Bruyne wouldn't have been so free and Aguero would have been easier to mark.

 

His touch was almost worse than Rooney's, hence the ****up that led to the collision.

Mignolet actually has fantastic control with his feet, his problem is he'll turn a top player no problem, then the pass out will be shanked straight to an opponent.
