Liverpool have had it for a few years now. I think they said that you've been in the top 4 once in the last 7 years.
I said this in the Rivals thread. He's just not a great keeper, I don't think he's any better than Hart. He played for Sociedad for 8 years and never really got anywhere, he was an average Keeper playing for a mid-level Spanish club. Barca panic bought him as they thought they needed an experience GK to mentor ter Stegen, he then had the chance to look good behind probably the best team in the world where he didn't have to do alot, its the same situation as Valdes (and he's crap). Think they were mad to go for Bravo when they had a chance to go for young up and coming Keeper and start fresh.
Hope this gives us the " kick up the arse " we needed and is a stark warning of the margins and if a team of the stature of Chelsea can flounder after a title win ? .........enough said !
Congratulations You should be more optimistic than hoping for a top 10 finish though, being champions!
Top 8 would be a fine achievement without Kante. People seem quite intent on wanting Leicester to fail to prove them right but top ten wouldn't be a failure for us.
You need top 4 to cement last season meaning something long term. If not you'll simply be a quiz question in years to come.
Not seen any football today so looking forward to motd. All I heard on talk sport on way home was how good City were for eat 40 minutes today.. Some of best football in Prem in last 3-4 years... Some claim, especially as it was only 40 mins of football! Sounds from what I heard and read here that we played really well, great going forward still a bit dodgy at the back but hey, wouldn't be lfc if we made it easy! Progress though, last year a defence including Lucas and Milner probably wouldn't have kept Vardy and Maheez quite all game, even though Leicester are they to be the same team as last year. Sounds like again, Mane was a big difference up top with his pace and movement. That really does open up doors for others like Studge and Firm to play in. Makes you wonder where Cout gets into this team with them 3 up top and Lallana starting to add end product to his game. Nice problem to have!! Mane clearly isn't as good as Suarwz, but his pace worries team and it also means teams now have 3 players up top to worry about which gives others like Lallana/Cour/Wij more space to operate in and more time on the ball. Without getting carried away, looking forward to this year! We just need another Mane to cover him if injured!!
I think if you get into Europa from league position or even better, winning a cup would have to be a great achievement. Unfortunately it probably means Mahrez will be gone. Do you think he's been distracted from transfer talk? Hasn't seemed himself so far this year.
No we don't. Last season was the perfect storm. Everything went our way. Top 6-8 would mark our progression in English football.
2 quick points - City were insanely good. Ridiculous tbh. Not really feeling the Coutinho point, he was only benched because he just got off a plane! (but I get what you're saying). Mane was very good, Firmino was the man today. He's not as fast but he's got a better brain than Mane and Sturridge. Some great options we have now, when on song we're offensively as good as any team in this league - if not better.
