How do you think Ferriby fans feel? They get no coverage. Ask them why and it'll be "it's because we are in the conference." It's has everything to do with what league you are in. A Premier League team is always gonna pull in more listeners than a league 2 team playing at Luton Town.

Grimsby get the same amount of coverage, they get their games played on air and are part of the phone in. Which is pretty ****ing generous seeing as it's in Lincolnshire and I'm pretty sure them and Scunthorpe are the two highest placed teams in that county. So stick them on BBC Lincs the moaning sods.

Probably would, he has goal scoring attributes for a striker. Most seem to dismiss. Players like Gray, Austin, Ings all had similar goal scoring exploits. Yes, I can't think for the life of me why we'd be interested.

Can't agree with that. If one club has ten times the fans of another and is way higher in the pyramid then one sure way for a radio station to lose listeners is to give equal coverage. BBC Radio Manchester would be daft if they gave the same amount of airtime to Stockport County as they do to Manchester United.

There's lots of players that don't get that chance, he's league one may put people off. I don't know what the issue was with Yeovil, it can't have been football related as his goal scoring record was excellent, his career record is 1 in 3 and many of his goals have come from playing as a winger.

I'd honestly rather give a player like him the chance as our 3rd or 4th choice striking option than some of the others we have signed. Clucas for example earnt his move through consistent performances in the lower leagues and he's been excellent in the PL, not looked at all out of place.

 

But you're missing my point GLP.... you may fancy him but if he was ready or capable of a step up, at about what £1 million some Championship team that needed a goalscorer would have taken a punt on him, even as a squad player.. They haven't. what does that tell you.?... Clucas was given a chance in the championship by us and thankfully for him he's stepped up.
