Also that point could save us. We will see won't we? I just can't bring myself to be disappointed in that point today. We are doing OK. I still maintain we where by far the better side today, and the best chances.
Alright Chazz admittedly it wasn't a classic but to come away with a point is a bonus. Burnley like ourselves set up to play a cagey game. We did commit players forward but Dio wasted his chance and we were unlucky with the 2 hitting the woodwork. Abel was off form and should have been replaced at half-time. Elmo and Robbo didn't provide much service but Clucas and Meyler pushed on. Overall a fair result against a team who play a similar game to ourselves. One stand out moment for each team from Duffour and Snodders. Lighten up mate.
All the reports I'm seeing from pundits and the likes of Rick are saying that we were deserving of at least a point today. Bit disappointing in the second half but it's a point closer to safety and allows a rival to drop two points from a winning position. Some of the kicker wetting on here from a point at our bogey ground is ridiculous.
Could've been another win but it's Burnley after all. Understood Phelan being loyal to the players who've done so well this year, tbh I think the vast majority of us would've done the same. Can't understand people slating Keane, I thought he looked very tidy when he came on. Same opinion on Mason too. It's going to take him a fair few games to get used to playing regularly again but he'll be a great addition. We defend very well, lacked a bit of a cutting edge but we're still developing as a squad and it'll come. 7 points after 4 games in the Championship would have been good, never mind in the Premier League. Happy Days! Onwards and upwards
Keane looked okay. He was a little lost on the left wing but wasn't long before he was pushed up front and won a few headed knock ons which caused one or two issues in the box for Burnley.
No, I'll just look at his league record to date. Joyce was probably tasked with getting rid of the dead wood. There's only so long a 23 year old can play in the reserves. Maybe he can make a career out of being a reserve team footballer? He may need to change positions though as he's no striker, which is what we bought him as.
Burnley looked their usual self to me. I saw them play half a dozen times last season and even during that amazing run, each win/draw was hard fought and they rarely looked on top in the games I saw. In fact, to the observer (as I was) I often felt the other, usually losing side, were the better side. However, that's the way Dyche plays them. He maximises ordinary players (Marney et al) and seems to instill an iron will. Dyche is a Pulisian. 1-0 home wins are their meat and drink and defying them, this, in the 95th minute, is very worthy of credit.
Do you think Chester and Brady were 'dead wood'? I presume you wrote them off before they played for us too.
Love the prat on RH complaining that City get more coverage than Grimsby That's what happens when you are in non-league and League Two and we're in the Prem you ****wit.
Who's this gimp moaning about Grimsby not being on the radio enough? Somebody ring in and sort him out. "I can't listen to my local team." Buy a ****ing digital radio then. They're like £10. Tit.
