I would rather give a the lad a chance in our team first before deciding whether or not he isn't good enough.
Its only the words Man U on his CV thats got him any goodwill. Ridiculous to bring him on when Henricksen is sat there.
That's because the amount of fickleness on this board is near embarrassing. Couldn't give a **** what people think of me.
I don't want to post in the prick's thread, but I'll just make one comment. We passed it ok up to midfield as we have for ages but we need something else for penetration (Hendrikson?). Burnley don't pass it as well but they got balls and bodies in the box and ended up creating more havoc than us while seemingly having much less possession. That's bloody dangerous in our position and Phelan should have tried something before they scored.
Sorry cambridge but Burnley are ****ing rubbish. We didnt go out and attack them. We contained and contained and nearly came unstuck.
Exactly, of all the pointless signing - this one stands out like a sore thumb. Why sign someone to play as a striker who has a track record of not scoring - at levels below the one we're at. I'd rather have taken a million or so pound punt on Madden who scores regularly.
We should have won this. They scored a great goal. We had the better chances, pleased with a point. Most of the game we looked comfortable. Oh and we where away from home but looked to me more like the home team.
Heres a tip. Attack the point not the poster. How do you rate Burnley? Any good? I thought they were piss poor. Lacked ambition. Only Duffour stood out. We lacked any force to go forward and win the game. We looked steady. We didnt commit many players forward at all. Looked like we went for a point. you cant do that in the PL. Your thoughts?
We'd have lost that game 1-0 last season. Burnley may not be Man City but our luck there over the years speaks for itself. A draw away from home in the 94th minute can't be sniffed at and it helps adds to our points total. We're a newly promoted side and any point we pick up should be gratefully received. 7 points from 12 in our position is a great return and those spitting their dummies out will do well to remember that.
Agreed, we won't have an easier game all season, Burnley were dog ****e. Any keeper should have saved that shot at the near post from 30 yards regardless of any swerve or dip, and I'd bet just about every single other player in the league (including goalkeepers) would have buried that Dio chance. Problem is the powers that be decided to let us go half a season without a left winger so I don't know who we shoe horn there, but regardless there are better players in the squad and you play your best team. I said as much before the game so hopefully there'll be no more ****ing about with sentiment, there's no time for it when the margins between success and failure in the battle we're fighting are so fine. Those two points we dropped today could be the difference between survival and relegation at the end of the season.
We should and could have won this. They scored a great goal. We had the better chances, pleased with a point. Most of the game we looked comfortable. Oh and we where away from home but looked to me more like the home side.
Burnley are a bogey team, so I'd have taken a point away from home. Our recent record v Burnley is simply dreadful.
