McGovern; Pinto, Martin(C) Klose, Brady, Howson, Tettey, Dorrans, Ja Murphy, Hooloahan; Jerome Subs: Ruddy, Bassong, Mulumbu, Lafferty, Pritchard, Bennett, Jo Murphy VERY interesting and SOOO pleased to see that Naismith is missing!!! Plenty of options for subs and let's hope AN doesn't have to make any due to injuries
Sorry GE - just realised that that's what had happened - I guess I was so pleased to see Whittaker and Naismith not even in the squad!!
Martin in at CB and captain. No Canos and Oliveria on the bench. No cover at LB if Brady gets injured. If Martin starts trying to organise the defence instead of Klose then I expect McGovern to be busy. Several steps backward as far as I'm concerned and my confidence in AN is diminishing by the game.
I believe that Bennett was rated MOM by Norfolks press against Brum, not that that means a great deal in the context of the outcome, but in previous matches he had been very sound/excelled.
Hmmm.......Positives and negatives in that line-up. Don't feel better or worse either way. Naismith dropped is very good. He needs a drop to wake him up a bit. If we get a win, hopefully Jacob can stay instead. Not sure about Dorrans or Martin at CB. Who knows! Fantastic to see both Murphy's in the squad, and Pritchard on the bench!
My thoughts exactly CC, drops two Jocks but brings two more in who are hardly match fit. I have been a supporter of AN, but am starting to have doubts about his future at our club.
Sheffield W already 1 done at home to Wigan. Our nil nil draw at home is looking a less than impressive result.
Curious if Dorrans or Howson are playing wide, presumably Howson. Still feels a little 'square pegs in round holes', and the sort of role Bradley Johnson was good for last time round, albeit on the other flank.
