Agree. As the saying goes, if you're good enough you're old enough. Should be starting the big games and rested the odd easier game.

I had no problem with Rooney being in the starting line up. But when it was patently obvious the game was passing him by he should've been subbed.

The trouble is, for every assist he creates there are about 6 or 7 which are lost by him. Like I said, so frustrating.

Rooney should be struggling to make the bench. Zlatan, Martial, Rashford, Miki, Mata, Lingaard and Herrera are all better options than him. He's not good enough to be starting anymore imo.

What's **** mate. Lol always blaming Rooney. Our defending in the first half is why we lose that game. How many chances did Zlatan miss today to? About 10.

The main difference between United under VG and now is they have added Zlatan so they have 2 tall players to hoof it to. Their best chances all seemed to be created by Bravo, who seemed to struggle with hoofs.

It's easy when you've got the ref in your pocket and the City players fall over quicker than Barcas lot <whistle>

I tend to agree. If we strip away all this bollox about "hating Rooney or loving Rooney" and let's look at what he actually offers us on the pitch. I don't see anything except his tracking back.

Then weigh up how that compares to the names you mention and it's s no brainer.

How many times did Rooney lose the ball or kill all attacking momentum?

Jose likes players who track back.

    Mata doesn't.

you think Jose will play Mata over Roon because he is managing United?

    Sums it up really.

Let's see how Jose responds to this. I hope he looks at other options starting.

Except that Mata has been tracking back in every United game under Mourinho.

Have you actually watched us this season <laugh>

You're right on the money about this point as well. The whole team underperformed and midfield was completely dead in the first half. I think Pogba is wasted playing deep and you can again attribute this to the need to play Rooney in advance position.

I think the setup was wrong to begin with. Jose would have seen that in the first twenty minutes and should have changed the system. City played astonishing football and we just couldn't cope. Jose changed things around in the second half but that left us too open at the back and city had too many chances to wrap it up as we were simple chasing a draw. After today, I have to say that Pep is indeed a masterful football manager. To completely readapt City is short period is amazing.

He was ok but iffers fck all going forward. Schneiderin and Schwein should be given their chance.

Imagine Pogba and Schneid in midfield. Or Pogba and Schwein.

Is he still there? Forgot about him. Him and Pogba would be a great partnership.
