Ah, the old "reverse pessimism" gambit. Think you can fool the fates that way?

Not much out there in the non-Saints zone to cheer us up, but I did find this in an Arsenal fan's blog....have to admit a fact that had passed me by. A lot of facts pass you by when hiding under a duvet.

It needs to be a better show than any we saw against the Saints last season that’s for certain. While their inability to win a league game at the Emirates disqualifies them from being a bona fide bogey team they have been a right royal douleur dans le dos. In fact we’ve only won once in our previous six matches against them in all competitions.

 

Saints will Puel a score draw out of the hat. Maybe.

 

Had a dream we drew 1-1 with goal from Matty Targett. Has the smack of authenticity about it.

Better than my dream ... losing 3-0 with Gazza in goal (even though he's not here).

 

Genuinely, I just want to see a match controlling performance, that extends beyond the first 20 minutes or so, and see where it takes us.
We seem to be starting well, then losing our way/shape, that ends up with us going a goal down.
Can we PLEASE score the first goal today.

 

Debating whether I can still go to Emirates and then make a 6:30pm flight from Heathrow for the Great North Run. Don't want to be one of those leave early types!

Puel says he won't be ready for a month...so won't see him for a while.

 

It was pretty clear when we signed him he would be injured and then not fit enough until October

I'd usually be expecting a loss away at Arsenal but seeing as I'm working and can't watch the match we'll probably win.
