Who pissed in your cornflakes? It was only a bloody joke based on Greece's economic state. The atmosphere at their games is a lot better, but in this country we don't through flares on the pitch (unless you support Villa) and completely wreck stadiums because we're a bunch of rebellious hardnuts. If you want a throw back to 80s hooliganism, fine, go and support Panathinaikos
He and some of the others from Goole have been following City home and away for 25+ years, funny how you never spotted us at the smaller away crowds at lower league grounds. Are you sure it's not you who's recently appeared? Not condoning some of the behaviour, but don't tar us all with the same brush.
We could nick this. Its like they're singing "We're Hull ..we're Hull.. we're Ull we're Ull we're Ull we're Ull we're Ull.... etc. We could keep this going for ages http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoA9UNpF1xk
I'm a bit surprised that we're 10 pages into this thread and nobody has pointed out that the real way to up the atmosphere at the KC is for some goals to go into the visitors' net.
I've always spotted you lot, Jeez when I was younger you guys used to get on the travel club bus which I travelled on in my infancy away days.
Never ever noticed you. Not tarring you with the same brush as the Goole ****tards, basically because I have no idea who you are. You wouldn't have noticed me, due to me not being a social reject. Apologies for that. I'm sure we have a very decent following from Goole. You being one. I never noticed 'them' at Kidderminster/York/Oxford, any of the lower league grounds that you can name. More than likely because they hadn't had a midlife crisis back in the 90's.
The traditional way to up the atmosphere is for the fans to make some bloody noise. Not sit there with their themos flags and rugs moaning about someone standing up. The never had to wait for a goal at the grounds legendary for atmosphere, Anfield, for example and others where there are flares and supporters getting off their arses, as there was a terrific atmosphere long before the game had started. Are you one of the new breed we've attracted since the move to the KC who sit there demanding to be entertained and thinking you have no part to play in building an atmosphere? Maybe you'd be better off in the atmosphere of a theatre.
I agree. I remember Wembley. Deano hitting the back of the onion sack. The fellow behind me, telling me to sit down, almost immediately after the goal. Told him where to go. If he wanted to sit down and watch HIS Tigers, he should be back in Hull in his armchair. I can't remember the last time I sat down, home or away. If people are allowed to stand, it generates a far better atmosphere. Kempton being an example and the old south stand at BP, both terracing and both generated a decent atmosphere. One game I am looking forward to this season, is Peterborough, as they still have an old terraced away end.
Sounds good! Always been surprised/confused over why the crowds usually are so quiet during football games in England. Gotta pump it up...... Feels pretty unlogical that the atmosphere seems better in Swedens "top league" Edit: But the crowds are similar size during the bigger games, so it's not that weird really I guess. Around 30000 during derby games etc....
