Several sites have him down as not being part of the squad and I'm pretty sure it was announced on deadline day that he wasn't registered in their squad either. Can anyone copy that Gazeta link? Don't believe a word of it myself but nevermind, I doubt he'll join us in January anyway.
He was officially registered. Number 4 shirt. It's all over the Russian internet. It was an official announcement from Kazan. Here's a translation of the official announcement from a uk based Kazan fan group. But nowt official about him signing a new contract with them though, they've just registered to play and that's all that's official. Everything else is just Press Gossip.
He's being professional, which shows his maturity, rather than going on strike like some idiots suggested.
That`s the important bit. He`s under contract to play for them and registered so he can. Nothing`s changed as far as I can see.
I think there's a very fair chance that he could start to enjoy playing for them again. Footballers just want to play football, we don't know what's going to happen these next few months. He could click with Song in midfield and become a big fans favourite, and if that happens, I think he'll want to stay. Obviously, anything could still happen. We don't know how this is going to play out now.
That's my point. And we all know how bad the press are for turning a non story into a story without a shred of evidence. Journo: Yann M'Vila is out from the cold and got a squad number for this season. Editor: That's a non story, let's spice it up and say he's likely to sign a new contract. That will give us extra website hits from the UK as desperate Sunderland fans scramble in panic to see what's happening. First uk paper to step up and take the bait linking back to their rag. The ****ing Chronicle! Followed closely by the Mail. Aye, righto.
IF he was trying to get out before January he would have to ask RK to play him. If they don't play along, he could try to get his contract and registration cancelled or maybe even take them to court for money owed (chance of winning in Russia probably low.) Or maybe he just wants a game and chance to pick up appearance bonuses etc. Almost certain is that he wants to get paid as much as possible (pro footballer rule number 1) and good chance he wants to have a crack at getting back in the French National side. The second of those will be very hard playing in the Russian leagues, so I doubt he will remain there after January. Any better chances at Sunderland? At least he would be in the PL and therefore on TV all over Europe.
You can't go around getting your contract cancelled with football clubs because they won't put you in the team, never mind suing them
Lets look on the bright side, assuming that he does run his contract down and assuming that the reported 'pre-contract' means that he intends to come here, at least this way he'll be match fit and up to speed to play in the Premier League straight away. If he sat around doing nothing until January it might still be another couple of months before he played.
If he does play it`ll get him match fit for us in January. We`ve got a few months without him & this Dong lad might be much better anyway. I`m determined to be positive.
Pointless as he can't play for anybody else anyway until Jan. All being released would do is mean he's got no employer with no obligation to train him. Waste of time which could screw his entire season up. He'll want to play to stay sharp and fit imo. He'll be useless to anyone in Jan if he hasn't trained to all season. His incentive is his fitness 100% imo.
Exactly. Even if he's not coming to us. He's not retiring from football so he needs to be fit for his next club so he's not writing a full season off. Also for Kazan, they're paying him and he can bring something to the team and they're obligated to train and treat him, it would be pointless to let him rot, they'd just get sued and lose more money to him.
One question... has your club confirmed that you've signed him on a pre-contract agreement? It appears to me, that these media sources being rubbished for this story, are primarily the same sources being believed about the supposed PCA that's in place. Unless I'm wrong and there's been something official. I think if he'd signed one, you'd have heard something from your club, agent or player by now.
I'm not convinced there is one. Last thing concrete was Moyes telling Nick Barnes(SAFC radio commentator) that there wasn't one in place. That was the day after the window closed.
