I am not convinced that Bates is not involved, if he is I would be skeptical about any agreement. However if the buy back agreement means the owner of ER would have to sell back to the owner of the club at an agreed price it would seem my theory is wrong. I have always assumed that the reason we have not had interest from genuine wealthy investors is because of the fear of being held to ransom by the owner of ER.

The price goes up the longer it goes on but is still substantially below the market value iirc.

When Cellino brought his share of club, we didn't own ER or TA then. I thought they were separate entities, one owned by Leeds county council and the other owned by Levy. If new owners came in they could buy them back if they wanted to.

In regards to the sell-on clause that was negotiated when O’Kane left TUFC the club would like to state the following:“Torquay United FC has to respect the confidentiality of the deal between AFC Bournemouth and Leeds United FC in regards to the transfer of Eunan O’Kane. However, we can divulge that Torquay United FC will not receive any monies at this present time due to the arrangement made between the two clubs. There is the possibility that the club will benefit from future payments.

“We apologise to all of our supporters that we are unable to divulge any further information as a result of the legally binding contract between AFC Bournemouth and Leeds United FC.”

LCC own TA. They will only sell it back to us at the market value as its in an area designated for future use as housing and is in a very affluent area they will want absolute top dollar for it. Much better to move, save loads of money and build a modern facility.

 

ER is not owned by Levy.
