Good Morning Everyone, Massimo Cellino now owns 100% of Leeds Utd! Eleonora Sport Ltd, completely own Leeds for the first time. In a short statement, Leeds said: “The club is delighted to confirm that Leeds United Football Club is now 100 per cent owned by Eleonora Sport Limited, it having purchased all of the shares previously held by GFH Capital.” There are rumours of an impending takeover at Elland Road following recent talks between Cellino and Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani. Keep in mind that it's only five weeks since the FA and GFH were shown various documents. This way is... tidier.
Morning all. Whatever comes next, yesterday is a major milestone in our clubs recent history. Everyone knows at this point exactly what GFC were and the problems they brought to the table. A great summer so far, well beyond what many of us would have expected. A note of caution though, if there is to be a new owner, many once welcomed gfh with open arms including Gary Coopers stupid LUST. Either way, we are in a dramatically better place as a club today than we were yesterday
So the key question: Is this the end game, or has all this manoeuvring a stepping stone to the decent takeover we have been crying out for? There might be a clue in the fact that the Chinese delegation that were at QPR are due to be back at ER tomorrow. A full turn out of the Cellino family are also due in town. According to a club employee that takes care of the top tier of hospitality ( no I don't mean the waiter)!
And you could be owned by Aldi... A bad week to be a wallie, a great week to be Leeds. You jumped ship just in time.
Option 1 Cellino sick of GFH holding the club back. He refused to buy back ER because that would have increased the value of the club by more than double. This in turn would mean GFH shares would also double in value when they put nothing in. So quite rightly Cellino reneged on buying ER back. He also had plans to purchase a site and build the new training facilities and academy. He laso had plans to improve the playing staff and go for promotion. All these things are now possible but as Phil Hay said last night, GFH would need their debenture paying off before any investment like this. Option 2 Cellino owning 100% of the club now makes it simpler for a sale or investment to go through. Cellino has Radrizanni in the background, who happens to have a relationship with a massive Chinese company. It may be that things will progress in weeks or may dry up. Option 3 Cellino being a nutjob runs the club into the ground and sacks more managers this season. This would be the Chippy model. I dont think anything like this will happen. Option 4 Cellino sells 80-85% of the club to a consortium comprising of Steve Parkin, Adam Pearson, and the usual suspects. Pearson as we know has ties with Hull City, funny how their Chinese buyers pulled out of the deal yesterday GFH gone and chuffed to fook as they have been a wart and a brake for far too long
That charge effectively values the club at £68mill and that's probably twice what we are worth! GFH saw Cellino coming and did him up like a kipper.
Club was bought for £52m and a lot of debt has been cleared under Cellino. He knows he was robbed by GFH but that shows he should have done Due Dilligence instead of diving in. Since then he will have added some value to the club but looks like he has factored in the £17m estimated debenture to GFH to come up with that valuation. Now seems pretty obvious why Cellino has allowed Monk to bring in 11 new players plus a couple of kids. He is making the club a more attractive purchase. Monk now needs to do what he has promised and make it happen for Cellino on the pitch, or Glory's scenario kicks in.
Talking about eejits, I hope the other protest group suspend their postcard threat and take a step back and wait to see what develops...
I know you are blinded by your hatred of Cellino, but do you really think he may be selling up because of some wasters sending postcards and flying messages over ER.........
