I think it's fair to say the dust has settled after the Adam Johnson Scandal, however, do you as fans of Sunderland feel any sort of shame ? After Saville and the boys were outed the BBC were shamed to the heavens. Seeing as Sunderland and the BBC played similar parts in similar scenarios, I was wondering if you boys think any differently of Sunderland now ? Could this fiasco have lead to Sam Allardyce distancing himself from the carnage ?

Isn't that a bit closed minded mate ?

Is this a case of you believing what you want to believe ?

It was a one off situation that the club handled poorly, not something that went on for decades and was being covered up so while I'm sure we could have dealt with it better I don't feel any shame. Adam Johnson's the one who should be feeling ashamed, though he's probably too stupid for that.

And no, it had nothing whatsoever to do with Allardyce leaving. He's managing England now in case you didn't know.

The timescales do add up though, you have to have noticed that mate. Sunderland find themselves embroiled in the worst scandal in English football history ,and what, 2/3 months later Sam runs for the hills ?

Coincidence. Just so happened that the one job that Sam would have left us for (realistically I mean, not talking about Real) came up and off he went. Nothing to do with Johnson, I doubt he really gave a **** about it.

I haven't done anything to warrant feeling shame so no I don't. What you're asking is the equivalent to asking a TV licence holder if they feel responsible for Saville. Even the comparison you're making is so different in reality.

As for the second question. I'm not an Elliss Short fan but the club were not found guilty of any wrong doing, could have handled it better overall but acted swiftly to part ways with the CEO at fault once given chance to carry out it's own investigation once the criminal investigation had ended. You tell me. What else could we have done? Stab her up? Torment her family and loved ones? No that's ridiculous. We respected a criminal process, we didn't jeopardize it. We acted as soon as we could off our own back. We didn't turn a blind eye to multiple employers molesting children for decades and that's where you comparison falls way short, bordering on stupidity.

You know what I think? I think you've thought this was really clever and don't(and probably never will) realise that in fact you just look like a one dimensional plonker.

Do a bit more research on both matters and come back with a conclusion based on the facts.

But Bri, is it only a dream as it allowed him to escape from a nightmare ?

I bring you back to the undeniable parallels between the BBC,Sunderland and these scandals. Would you have wanted to have been in charge of the BBC when Saville was at large and subsequently outed ? No, thought not, you would have bolted and surprise surprise by 'coincidence' Sam bolts as soon as he gets the slightest chance. You're being really naive here mate and its a real shame

Only you are proclaiming it a nightmare. You've drafted that all up in your tiny little skull.

I'm happy to answer more of your questions when you have the basic common decency to answer mine. Conversations are a two way street.

If you're being genuine then you'll have to do better than "come on guys...I'm being super serious right now...come on, please?" if you want to present a persuasive argument.

If you're trolling then you're boring. In fact, either way you're boring.

So, to sum up, you're sitting there all smug thinking your a clever ****er cos people have engaged you, when in reality you are dull as ****.

Not one of us had any bearing on what he did and as such not one of us has any guilt whatsoever, why would we?

Fair play that this is your idea of fun on a Thursday not, your life is better than mine, clearly.

I'm not trying to be persuasive. I'm laying the facts out bare and it's all making more sense than you want it too. You're the one banging on about coincidence and you're looking to be persuaded ?

Wake up and smell the coffee man !

Allardyce was excited for the season with the club and had multiple targets already lined up to sign.

He didn't want away for a second, he got his calling, a calling he openly stated was his dream several times over several years.

The worst scandal in football history was in 1997 when referees relegated us for a fact, and still don't like us.
