The Frenchman spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light and was expected to make his stay permanent over the summer. WANT MORE? >> Sunderland Transfer News | Latest Transfer News However, as the player revealed on SnapChat, his potential switch to Sunderland collapsed on summer Deadline Day – although there have been reports of a pre-contract agreement in place for him to complete a Bosman move to Wearside when his current deal with Rubin expires in January 2017. However, Gazeta now claim talks are underway between the 26-year-old and the Russian club regarding a new contract, with M’Vila back in training and ready to feature in league matches. It’s understood Rubins’ ambitious move to sign former Arsenal and Barcelona man Alex Song has somewhat swayed the rangy midfielder, although the validity of the report’s claims are questionable given talk of a pre-contract with Sunderland.
They've only registered him to play for the new season. Mountain out of a molehill imo. Kazan have made no secret they don't want them and Yann has made no secret he doesn't like Russia. Whether he joins us or not, he's a free man in just a few months. He can chase money in china or take his pick at any of the elite leagues. Why would he re sign with them? Defies common sense when the offers are due to start coming in.
Makes no sense to me either. Think I read somewhere he`d fallen foul of the local bad guys. Hates the place, can`t wait to get out (possibly a reason he was here a couple of weeks ago), he knows what he`s getting and so do we. He`d be a mug to sign up for more.
And if it was another Russian club then maybe, just maybe it would be a tiny bit believable. But knowing the back story I don't believe it personally.
I'd be worried if it was logical. But it goes against everything that's been reported over the last 2 years.
The headline is so far removed from any truth it is just ridiculous. ****ing plank who wrote should be slurred with a story saying he's a dirty rent boy, dying from a plethora of STD's... as he was once spotted in a gents toilet.
We all know these players value one thing in the world and one thing only, he's a mercenary like all the others. He'd never have gone there in the first place if he wasn't. If Rubin offer him 150k/week and we've offered 50k, we both know what he's gonna do.
If it's money he wants he can go to China and earn more than he was getting in Russia as I've already stated. So it still doesn't add up. Far fetched imo. You worry fella. I'm not going to.
