The scene where Collins men take out all the Brits is shot in exactly the same way as a scene in Godfather 2. loads of folk getting whacked in different locations by different people in a kind of "best of whacks 1920" compilation.

There is a scene in Mary Poppins where the lead character is seen flying through the air holding an umbrella.

The filmmakers completely ignored the fact that the use of parasol powered flight is strictly forbidden in Austria and that she wouldn't have been allowed to carry out such a reckless act either there or in any animated sequence.

Health and safety, you know <ok>

Is this a cunning ploy to catch people out when they say that Mary Poppins isn't set in Austria so you can call them effeminate? Or is there a bit in Austria that I can't remember?

I'm not sure how to answer that, cos you might just have set a cunning ploy to get me to admit that I've watched the film umpteen times with the kids and enjoyed it.

    Damn! It worked!! :)

Nah, it is set in Austria with the Nazis chasing the Von Weiner Schnitzel family into Switzerland at the end, with the dramatic "Climb Every Mountain" finale. Its not really a gay film, but those crushed velvet curtains are to die for <ok>

Pearl Harbor : The landstrip seen at the bottom of the Cliffs of Dover in the Battle of Britain scene shouldn't be there. It was created as the Brits built their side of the Eurotunnel, completed in 1994..
