HDM now reporting the takeover is on the verge of collapse, not quite "its off" as previously reported.
Well that's just great! This bag of **** news, Phelan's contract not agreed and Burnley's just around the corner...(comes in 3's)
I do find it a bit strange that the likes of Sky Sports aren`t reporting anything relating to this (yet), they are usually all over this type of thing.
The HDM article says that the Allams are growing uneasy, I can see the Chinese passing the test (which hasn't been ratified yet, the process isn't over, they haven't failed) and the Allams pulling the plug.
Burnsy on Talksport suggesting there are other parties interested and looking to do a deal, but no details provided, just caught the end of him suggesting the consortium needed to drop a couple of names from it and that would allow it to pass the F&PPT, but not sure what context that was given in having missed the first part
So there was 10 in the consortium and all 10 had to pass this test?...plus where did the money come from for our latest new signings?....cant believe the Allams paid it unless they tied it in with the deal.....you watch Mason n co will be going back to their old clubs the next bad news!...reckon they will just kick out the guy who failed the test from the consortium...wishful thinking
Far too many people guessing. Wind your necks in until it's clear before laying blame. The Chinese are still a country we have national security issues with, as well as asset movement concerns. If it falls through due to the FA there will be good reason and suggesting the Allams are somehow to blame is just wrong on what is known.
If it's a junior member of the consortium who's "failed" the FAPPT,then there's every possibility that member could be dropped and the consortium could then in theory pass the test. If it's a Dai family member then that's the deal floating face down in the lake...
Sky sports news reporting " To avoid further speculation we wanted to clarify the situation regarding Mike Phelan's position at the club. We remain in talks with the club's current owners but are still wide apart on an agreement .. Mike Phelan's representatives
posted on their site earlier this afternoon, however not saying anything about the takeover issues, very strange
Nah If they fail the test its down to underlying issues with the whole situation, including political and financial problems. Changing faces isn't a magic solution. It won't be a person, it will be the "deal".
I agree with (1) but I'm not too sure about (2). I wouldn't trust the FA or the PL to make a thoroughly impartial and well-informed decision about anything.
Ho Li Fuk-what have we done in a past life to deserve all this bollocks- part and parcel of supporting city I suppose- Christ must be bloody boring supporting some teams like spurs or chelski?
