I've no issue with what you said for the record mate, but the video in undeniably uninspiring for a 'best bits'.
Speaking of Peter Lorimer to put it in context in tests he was proved to be the hardest hitter of a ball at his time (Kicker?)
Not saying I disagree about the starting positions fella (and I've obviously misread your post as negative for which I apologise)!! Although I see that an awful lot where keepers try to preempt where the ball is going. It's interesting though to see such a poor "best bits" video - saves are regulation for the most part - a couple of very good stops at full stretchbut most fairly straight at him. It's like showing a best bits video of a midfielder passing the ball 6 yards all the time or a defender winning free headers
If we can't watch clips of an unknown new signing and comment on what we see, then what's the point of a forum? Does the lad look ready to be thrown in to anyone? Does he look better set than Pickford?
It's my opinion that the whole world is ****ed but no doubt it will still spin 360 degrees every 24hrs & do one revolution around the sun every year for many more millennia.
Yeah, agreed we need to see more. It's unusual that we've picked him up from Boavista so I'm gonna assume we've bought for potential and that we've seen something to work with. It just seems an odd one, see signing a Schwarzer or something made sense. We've now 3 keepers under 24 which is bizarre at this level.
(He's 25 fella! Born 8th March 91) I'm just glad he's not ACON bound as per half of the rest of the squad!!!
It is all hypothetical anyway, with Sunderland's defense I cannot see other teams getting a shot at goal
My bad, didn't check age just going off comments! It's a wait and see simple as that, I'm sure none of us keep up with many Boavista games!
It's just not covered, you'll get big games on BT, Sporting, Benfica, Porto. It's a poor league the standard outside the top 4 (Braga being the 4th) is shoddy, although gems do pop up all over from time to time the Lisbon 2 Hoover up most of the young home talent.
Reading the quotes from Carrasso, a very good keeper, he didn't so much turn us down as turn down any move as he's recovering from injury. But yeah, 9... Ha
Must admit to being a bit baffled by this signing. An experienced keeper, short term to cover injuries. I could understand that. A player for the future, somebody between Pickford and Stryjek perhaps. For continuity. I could understand that. This lad doesn`t seem to be either. Another instance of hoping Moyes knows what he`s doing.
