Nonsense. It's about which manager is believed to have done the best job, and all manner of factors are taken into account, not merely how many points they've won in that month.
Did you know that, a few years ago, Peter Cushing and Whoopi Goldberg were a couple and almost got married? They decided against it in the end, though; there were some issues with her new name or summat...
Manager of the month is the manager who has done the best job that month. If you think Jose's feat is more impressive than Phelan you're a ****ing pillock. If it was purely based on points there's be no point having a shortlist, you'd just use the form table. If any manager had got 6 points from 3 tough games with half a squad they would be deserving of it.
To be the manager of the month you have to win games and by winning game you get points. There's obviously going to be a strong correlation between who has the most points and who wins the award. This month is a perfect example where that shouldn't be the case as Mike Phelan has achieved a hell of a lot more than the other nominations despite getting fewer points.
Congratulation to Mike Phelan, well deserved, if it had gone to anyone else it would have been a travesty of justice.
Twitter polls are for big club plastic ****wits. MOTM was decided by proper football people not ****s from Essex supporting Man Utd.
The right person won, regardless of what some on here think, well done Mike. We're going to lose to Burnley anyways, curse or no curse (by the way, the curse is a load of bollocks), because it's Burnley.
Had to be when you think what he had to work with .. well done Micky .. incidentally who got player of the month ?
