    That's all well and good, but he was caught miles out of position for the first goal, so they had ages to get the cross in, the striker had a run on the ball and Campbell only had a standing jump. Fergie's fault, doesnt mean he's a bad player, just helps prove he doesnt have the stamina to play as a wing back.

    He does have the stamina, but look at the formation, he had no one to help him! Even wing backs need a partner on their side to help them out, he had to do all the attacking and the defending on that side!

    Yeah, that's a wing back's job. That's why it's one of the hardest positions to play in modern football and why we shouldnt have put him there.

    By himself yes, but behind a decent LM, then he could be a good LWB, so he can do the attacking and defending with a partner.

    At the time we couldnt have done much else. Shouldnt have played Sol though, that was awful.

    You can't really have a formation that accomodates a LM and a LWB.

    To be fair he hasn't had a chance to prove it really. We don't know what his stamina is like.

    He's had to come off whenever he's started though, and the rest of his apps were as a sub.
