Just been over on the Burnley site "longside lounge" one comment caught my eye " we need to be beating the weaker side's like Hull to survive in the PL, on that comment alone, I hope we stuff em good and proper.
To be fair Pudsey up to the end of the transfer window we were one of if not THE weakest side in the league .. our recent additions have definitely given us a fighting chance but we're still light in certain areas .. also I think the majority of City fans look at the Burnley game and think the same in that we need to be beating these to give us a chance of staying up
Agree, it the arrogance of the statement that really pisses me off , you can guarantee that any team we beat this season, wont be down to city playing well, but that team having a **** day.
Where is the arrogance in that statement? We need to be beating the weaker sides like Burnley to survive in the PL.
Would you consider Burnley to be one of the league's weaker sides, one that we should be looking to beat?
Was looking up his playing dates and came across this: http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=448016
Just hope we get a win there, this time, I will be in the enemy end for my annual visit with a friend who is a Burnley fan. Lost 1-0 last time with a Vokes 80 minute winner.
Burnley will see us as six points and obviously fancy all three points on Saturday. Nowt wrong with that as we think likewise for some fixtures and few thought we would turn Swansea over in Wales.. As for our new players, yes we recently signed some decent larkers, but that's only on paper to date and potential wins you exactly that .New players take time to settle and wen they hopefully do,Phelan or whoever has to bind them into our system, something you cannot do overnight. Every other club already have a settled squad and certainly will know a best starting eleven. Fact is we are in a relegation battle and Saturdays game really is a six pointer as are the games against Stoke,Watford,Sunderland,Palace & Swansea. Anything else points wise would be a bonus but knowing City we will know doubt do it the hard way as usual with our destiny being decided last game of the season again. UTT
You can't say that at this point and time, as we haven't seen what the new team members can do yet. Who knows, 1 or 2 of them could be a lot better than Diame. Then maybe not. Time will tell
That's a strange promotion for the tickets, there's no way it can be guaranteed that all the signings will play in that game, it's quite a way off yet anyway.
BBC seem to think Keane will be playing on Saturday? Can't see it myself. Burnley defender Michael Keane reveals what it is like to play against his brother, Hull striker Will, with the two former Manchester United players set to face each other on Saturday.
