Oh,well that's ok then. Nothing to worry about!...

What did you expect her to say? "This referendum vote has ****ed us and I'm just doing my best to dig us out of the ****?"

It's interesting looking at his actual words before the referendum.
Saying there is a 'chance of a technical recession ' is nothing like the 'we will go into recession' that was attributed.
When you see that even revised forecasts have next year's growth at less than 0.5 % then it seems a fairly reasonable assessment.

Maybe you expected her to say that Australia exports 30% of their GDP and Japan exports 40% of their GDP so that mean ...... help!
At least the Conservative Party gets on with governing the country while the Labour Party will be having another leadership election in which we all know that Corbyn will win. This will then lead to a big split in the Labour Party or, if the majority of MPs choose to do nothing, then many MPs will get deselected and the looney left will take them below the Greens in the polls. Here's an idea: Why don't Labour have a jobshare for the leadership role like the Greens? Corbyn/Smith - what could possibly go wrong?

Actually, Carney has done a great job! It could have been a lot worse without the calm way he's handled things. All this despite having to deal with upper class nonentities, like Jacob - 'I don't live on the same planet as you ordinary people' - Rees-Mogg accusing him, ridiculously, of being biased.

It's not a matter of percentage of GDP, FFS!!! <doh>

If you hadn't put steveninaster on ignore, you'd be able to see the figures

Is that the Jacob Rees-Mogg who was on the same side as the majority in the EU referendum?

It's because of the lag effect. Things like inflationary price rises caused by a falling currency take time to feed through.

Also, because of the total lack of an exit plan, things are taking far longer than anybody expected at the time.

At the moment the initial shock of the leave vote has died down. It's like the eye of the storm. Next wave will come if and when article 50 is triggered!

He's actually a very bright and reasonable guy, Pete. I think,he just gets frustrated ( like so many of us) of explaining the same simple facts over and over again!...

Well don't explain the same simple facts. Don't just give out two percentages and say the UK will lose. Answer the question using the relevant facts.
