So Keith Hellawell , Police Officer most of his adult life. At the age of 64 joined the commercial world and at the age of 67 joined Sports Direct. He has the gall to describe himself as a 'Businessman'.
I would describe him as a career copper who fundamentaly failed as the Drugs Czar then sold his soul to Mike Ashley and failed again !
    Prick.

I've spent a significant part of my working life marveling at how people who, quite frankly, would struggle to run a bath, find themselves in positions where they are in charge of running companies and large, complex institutions.

    Baffling.

    It gets better.
At their AGM the independent shareholders voted him down. Mike Ashley after stating that he wouldn't then had to vote in his favour to keep him in place.

We then had the cringeworthy situation of them having to explain it on camera exactly why with Ashley piping up with 'he deserves 12 months to fix it'.

I just couldn't believe a supposedly upright pillar of society could join a company like that at such a senior level. Or maybe he was never the person he portayed himself to be whilst in the Police.

Good video on BBC of Mike Ashley emptying his pockets at security in one of his warehouses. With dozens of zero-hours workers looking on he pulls out a wad of £50 notes and dumps them in the tray.

However the ultimate point of any thread on this site is to increase 'clicks' and generate ad revenue for the sites owner. The threads and comments in themselves are, ultimately, irrelevant.
Appears to be owned by Michael Reid , the site valued at $110k earning him $154 a day.

    Sorry Happy that's bullshit.

Success isn't the problem. Treating your workers like slave labour and not paying them minimum wage however......

People generally don't give a **** how much their staff earn, or how much their suppliers get paid, as long as they can get their stuff cheap, they'll keep shopping there.

Wrong on so many levels. Do try and stop snide personal insults and stick to the topic of the thread.
