Agree and I find it frustrating how some fans focus on the negatives .. all the time but its an emotional default mindset for us Sunderland fans in my experience
Heroes and villains are created on the tiniest of margins. Even single incidents can make a break a player in the eyes of the fans. Kirchhoff, fortunately, got a second chance and took it. But look at Rade Prica, despite scoring a goal on his debut he was written off as **** but he went on to have a decent scoring record in Scandinavia (admittedly, poorer leagues) and earlier in his career he'd got decent returns in the Bundesliga- that would suggest to me he may have had enough quality to score goals for us in the Premier League.
So true but some players get through it - remember Mal Doherty (Tommy Docherty son ) went from villain to hero status Likewise Niall Quinn -regarded as an injury prone liability initially under Reid at first then absolute hero with SKP Thats a footballers life
It looks like we have messed him about too much He is in talks with Rubin kassan for a new contract. If we want him we will have to pay big money Looks like another one we've lost
