It's looking like the only realistic transfers yet to come in are Murphy (who's not going to get in ahead of Kenny) and Puncheon, with Gorkks maybe going the other way.

Assuming it's just a straight deal for Puncheon, and now with DJ on board, who should line up against Bolton?

    Mine would be.....

    Kenny

    Dyer Gorkks Gabiddon Hill

    Derry Faurlin

    Campbell Taarabt Smith

    Bothroyd

Subs - Murphy, Connolly, Orr, Helguson, Buzasky, Puncheon, Ephraim

I've never been a fan of Orr and his lack of pace, which is why I've gone for Dyer, in the thinly-veiled hope he may turn out to be a right-sided Kyle Walker replica (albeit a more mature version emoticon-0110-tongu)

I agree about Orr,but i think Hill is lacking in pace too.
I still think Warnock will be bringing in another defender from somewhere.

Bradley Orr is positively Carl Lewis compared to Clint Hill.

Agree with Dave Thomas' team. Maybe have Clint for Connolly tho + pray we dont get roasted for pace at the back.

Orr's volleyed cross for the Bothroyd goal in Italy was classy, but his rash tackling worries me, in with both feet. He'll be under even more pressure in the Prem. I see red cards there...

Hill has more about him though and in my opinion was our stand-out defender last year.

Orr is gaffe-prone and will be made to look silly in the Prem.

I also very much doubt DJ has been bought to sit on the bench. He's more proven than Bothroyd and has 13 top-flight goals to his name.

Orr has a great cross on him, his overlapping has been promising recently too. Nice supplier for bothroyd/DJ?
Be nice to not just rely on tarbs for crosses. Orr has a better cross than smith imo!

*also, it's already confirmed Onouha has turned us down?

I read on here he's played at RB before and wasn't too shabby. But then again, I do read a lot of things on here.

I'd prefer Ramage or Connolly over Orr.....possibly even Colin himself.

    Derry Faurlin

    Dyer Campbell Taarabt

Well said Grifter Orr came from Bristol only this time last year and in my mind has just improved and improved as well waiting while we had the excellent Walker in the team on loan. He was only brought in because Orr was injured (calf) against Boro (when we destroyed the championship favourites 3-0). Walker was superb and since then we have all thought that Bradley Orr was a poor replacement .. he isn't and I don't care what anyone says he is good enough and NW plays him in his first 11th... he is also a great team member. Lads who doubt I am like a broken record but 12 teams who find themselves in the premiership aren't as good as we are ... there is no step up in quality and any of these 12 will not perform in the championship they were saved last year by the simple fact that only 3 go down ... don't believe the hype and look at last years final premiership table... it doesn't lie ... well said grifter

I love the amount options we have with the front 4, they all look like they have goals in them. Maybe our season will be the oppisite of last with our main strength going foward rather than defence. Cant see us signing any fullbacks to be honest.....who's availble for virtually nothing at moment, it could turn out to be a very costly weakness.

technically Orr was better than Walker using stats, Walker was a lot more dynamic and exciting to watch though <laugh>

midfield and forwards look strong, just as well as i can't see us keeping too many clean sheets, even with paddy between the sticks. for me:-

    kenny
    orr gabbidon/ramage gorkss hill
    derry faurlin
    dyer campbell taraabt
    bothroyd

don't fancy either orr or hill as full backs at this level.

What I've learned from this thread is few of us have confidence in our defence but most fancy us going forward.

    Another Blackpool, maybe?

I'd take it if it meant 17th spot and an exciting season.

Just Googled Bradley Orr and discovered on August 29, 2006 he was sent off for trying to headbutt his own teammate and two days later was jailed for 28 days for a brawl outside a nightclub.

    You learn something everyday....
