Based purely on Toon related stuff have you changed your view on 'well built' Mike now? He's screwed us for a number of years but I think he's learnt a lot and has now put that right. I've said before that I felt he was guilty of making bad decisions based on bad advice and that still stands IMHO. He will now see what a United club can achive. I'd take 'stocky Mike' all day long over a Vincent Ta, Chiellini or Tony Xia. Here's a poll.....
I'll hold off sucking on his moobs for the moment. It feels like the club has almost turned full circle and is starting to be run properly. Keeping Benitez was absolutely massive. You just never know with Mike though he could at any moment change our stripes to red and white and appoint Niall Quinn as director of football and have Rafa reporting into him. Things are definitely looking up however
You wonder if all the negative press from running NUFC into the ground and all the ****e going on with SD and their Victorian employment practices has made the penny drop that he needs to keep all stakeholders in his businesses happy. He clearly didn't give a **** about, and positively enjoyed, pissing people off in the past.
It seems to me that he has lost what little interest that he had in NUFC since the **** has hit the fan at SD. His attention definitely seems to be 'there' instead of 'here' ..................... I just wonder how much day to day involvement he actually has with the club.
I like the way he runs his businesses and following attendance at one of his motivational seminars I have tried to restructure mine along the same lines. I have started with following: 1. All Muslim staff can now only pray once a day instead of 3 times a day and must forego their lunch on a Friday if they want to go to the mosque. 2. All staff have been supplied with a colostomy bag with the company logo on to negate the need for toilet breaks. 3. Bring your children to work day has been increased from once a year to every day and they are expected to put in a full 12hr shift. I expect to see major productivity improvements soon.
It's only the ever increasing TV money on offer for Premier League clubs which has prompted the turnaround in his thinking. The gamble of under investing, signing players with an eye only on future profit margins, appointing poor (but cheap) managers and having fun winding up the fans probably seems far less appealing if it jeopardises the TV bounty.
He's a horrible man, but he's begun to own the club in a more sensible way. So, no likey, but prefer him to Yo Yo Ma, HMS Calliope and Whatsisname Xia.
I just dont trust him at all.....i always feel like there is something just around the corner to kick us in the bollocks
He has been terrible but you can only hope that the change lasts, there are worse out there though which just makes you wonder what constitutes a "Fit and Proper" person to own and run a football club.
Too early in terms of Rafa. I mean he could get sick of Rafa calling the shots tomorrow and it could all blow up. I don't think he will have changed much so I've gone for no. He is just in one of his calms before the next storm. Bloke is a ****bag. A bi polar schitzo ****bag.
This for me - jury's still out on him - time will tell whether he's finally learnt his lesson..........
There doesn't seem to be an option for "I Nothing him" Yes he could have provided more funds and yes he could have appointed better people to spend the cash he did give. However, Look at Leicester last season. A team on paper that should never have won the title. Just goes to show that if you train the players you have well with a clear plan in mind you shouldn't need to spend a fortune to get a decent finish in the PL. So in conclusion, I nothing Mike, Blame for me rests much more on those below him that purchased the lazy wasters and were not good enough to get the effort out of said players.
Mike going through his pockets on the way into his warehouse, comes up with wad of £50s. Bit of a showman when he wants to be.
Classic. Why is he wearing that tie? I mean, does he not have other ties? Why is he wearing an NUFC tie to work at sports direct?
