Obviously "Paxton-Custard syndrome" is not a word. If you are looking for a word I would carry on looking.

So, come on then. Who has 'educated' these poor misguided Muslims.

    We're waiting...,

How does that justify the comment of "it shows that even the most staunch Muslim families can evolve and grow out of it over time"

Posted in response to SL's post of

    "Off with her head"?

You need to try much harder.

I wish I'd seen these 'demands' below from the Paxman wannabe's before I'd replied.

No need to be afraid, their imaginary friend is quite harmless. <ok>

I have answered the question, yours is a secondary one. I never said I knew who educated them I simply said that they'd been educated if they no longer beleived in sky pixies or imaginary friends*...unless of course you're a believer in such Icke like things, in which case I respect your view, but after looking into it for myself I personally don't believe in them.

A youtube search for Matt Dillahunty is a decent starting point for questions.

Which is your sky pixie of choice?

    EDIT
*To bat off the obvious, the CofE bit was what I meant by "the other book" in my earlier reply.

@Spurlock. I'll flag you into this as you're getting all demanding. I'd feel left out if you weren't both just squealing and trying to change the question. <laugh>

It was meant as a light hearted comment, but I don't mind playing the game if you're getting all masterful. Gratuitous smiley head for nsis >>>> :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I doubt you will, but post a link to these claims I made and I'll have a go. NB, if it's that same ****e you dripped on about, I'll simply refer you back to the earlier answer. You did complain about people posting the same thing repeatedly. <ok>

True. I stand corrected. It would stand as an entry in the O.E.D. though

Not sure about Paxton-Custard, but Dunning-Kruger is certainly apt here, in at least 2 cases.

Based on your previous comments and the mention of 2, I'm guessing you mean Me and Pete?

I'm quite flattered, but I think that rather than us being high high-ability individuals that may underestimate their relative competence and may erroneously assume that tasks which are easy for them are also easy for others, I just reckon the others are a bit limited.

    Thanks anyway though. <ok>

Not sure I would call the ability to read Wikipedia "high-ability" but whatever <laugh>

    Quite right neither would I.

You're perhaps on another forum that I read where it was being discussed recently? It was over my head and I'm not signed up so couldn't contribute to the discussion, but the bits I grasped were interesting. I'll be impressed if you were involved in it.

Don't think so, I know a little about it because I have a friend who suffers from it.
    Its a very interesting syndrome.

I read enough on the other forum to know I couldn't get into a conversation on it without googling, which is pointless so your knowledge will be far greater than mine.

On the face of it, I'd assumed they'd present as either arrogant or intolerant depending which they had, but seemingly I'm miles off.

It's weird you mentioning it, when I only recently came across it elsewhere. I hadn't heard of it before then.

Just read the wiki entry and I can't say I'm any the wiser but I loved this bit:

The study was inspired by the case of McArthur Wheeler, a man who robbed two banks after covering his face with lemon juice in the mistaken belief that, because lemon juice is usable as invisible ink, it would prevent his face from being recorded on surveillance cameras.[3]
