    The problem is basic lack of technique that players from other countries take for granted. The ability to pass accurately, control a ball with a first touch, put crosses into dsngerous areas with speed and accuracy - all missing from the average English players armoury. Lallana seems to be the only English player who can do these things.

    A lot of similarities between the u21's and the first team actually.
    We just don't seem to have a clue in the final third. As soon as the space is closed down, we lack the technical ability/awareness/movement to create chances. Resort back to long shots.
