I can understand that, wouldn't have him as a striker though! To be honest with you, mate. I think the few games he had for you when breaking through, might have been a flash in the pan. He has shown absolutely nothing for us, so far. I used to rate the lad, and thought he was your next star breaking through. He's like Adam Johnson, but without the grooming. A luxury player who can turn it on, but doing so once in a blue moon, is no good to a club like Sunderland.
The talent's there mate it's his application letting him down. Hopefully he'll sort his head out and knuckle down. Otherwise he'll be on the scrap heap with Macheda.
I think he's shown enough so far that he'll be good for us over the course of the season, personally. We've got to remember he's barely kicked a ball for 2 or 3 years. This is his first real taste of first team football as well. It was Moyes who gave him the chance at Man Utd when he broke through so I'm hopeful he'll play a big part in our season.
I would say it's more the attitude that's letting him down. He just seems such a miserable soul. I can't remember ever seeing him smile, it's almost like he doesn't like playing football but has to do it to make a living. He has all the talent of a top player but none of the drive or energy.
He thought he was gonna have the world at his feet on a plate and now he is facing the stark reality that even with his best efforts it probably won't happen. Let's hope something gets him to wake up.
I think Januzaj has been decent bar his appalling delivery from dead balls. He's scored a goal and he's beaten his man countless times since he arrived. I will say, he absolutely isn't the player he looked when he came through, nor is he ever going to be, but he's half decent.
What happened to Gyan in the end? I take it his dream of playing in England once again never happened.
Are we really that short? No, not really. The avg. height of safc is 181.5cm; decidedly mid table. http://talksport.com/football/revea...nked-shortest-tallest-season-160825207607?p=9
