Boss David Moyes admitted it has been a difficult period for everyone involved but says he will be “delighted" if the 27-year-old signs a new contract. I expect a wage increase and a release clause in his contract at something like 25 - 30m. That way he knows if a big club comes in and stumps up the money we won't stop him leaving. At the same time we at least know if he leaves were due a large chunk of money.
