Can't wait either. Been one of the worst flat seasons in my memory. Bar a few of Frankels offspring providing some interest it's been as bleak and boring as anything.

Only about 5 weeks to go to the first proper meet?? Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces renew rivalries.

Usual garbage from England. Totally unimaginative team selection from Allardyce, picks the same dross that failed in Euro 2016 and they are producing the same rubbish on the pitch............................. what a load of old bollocks.

Much as I admire Willie Mullins and all he has achieved, I really hope the success is shared around a bit this season. I want to see Mr Henderson have some top top top novice hurdlers, Mr Nicholls with a good set of novice chasers, some nice types from the North for the likes of Jefferson, Richards, Lucinda Russell. I have high hopes for Coneygree and Thistlecrack and I would hope that Gordon Elliot, Henry De Bromhead, Jessica Harrington, Noel Meade, et al can keep Irish racing competitive.

The lesser events will and are always competitive but there's no doubt Mr.Mullins will dominate most of the big races again. The man's a wizard and I can't see how the standard will drop really. I enjoy seeing the class horses he trains. Some people get upset as they can't have a bet due to it but it's not hard to sit a few races out and admire quality.

Agreed mate but the true greats become that by beating other top class animals ...................... not by hosing up 30 lengths in a 3 runner race.

Get what your saying and it's well and fair but I can also understand why they don't do it. If you only had 2 horses and knew they would both win a different race each would you run them in the same race and just take 1 win? No.

I'd like to see it too but that's just the way it is.

Yes. That's all we can do. So often the way that the class animals have some frailties but they will certainly do what is best for the horse and that's all ya can ask.

Late drama. A win is a win.

Scotland will win 1 nil against a resolute Malta Gaz.

England just lack that star player don't they. Good few individuals but lacking that cutting edge of a special striker/midfielder who can win games on their own sometimes.

Completely agree we have good players but no stand out who is going to put fear into the opposition and can change a game on their own

Not enough movement off the ball for England which made them so predictable. The opposition tired and let them in eventually.

Skrtel was just mad to get a few kicks at Kane. You could see he was going to get sent off in the first half. Let his side down badly with a needless hack down on Kane just for the sake of it.
