What the stats clearly show is that the number of voters who were firmly in one camp or the other throughout was virtually identical.

As was the number of voters who were undecided from the last month and until polling day itself.

So it's therefore fair to conclude that the Leave campaign was more successful in the run up to the vote, and won over more of the undecideds during the campaign period.

It also shows how piss poor the Remain campaign was, and you could contest that the 'project fear' element probably back fired as it was viewed to be overblown by many.

Whichever way you cut it, one of the most important decisions this country has made in the modern age has been dramatically effected by lying, career whoring, politicians on both sides of the divide.

My personally view is that the complete lack of integrity and honesty throughout (on both sides btw) has resulted in the true issue being misunderstood by many and the genuine potential consequences not being believed, which in turn has lead to the worst decision that we've made since electing Thatcher.

    • By large majorities, voters who saw multiculturalism, feminism, the Green movement, globalisation and immigration as forces for good voted to remain in the EU; those who saw them as a force for ill voted by even larger majorities to leave.
You really do have to be a bit special to think those are bad things.

    <applause><applause><applause><applause>

And the politicians in question won't be affected in the slightest.

I agree with all of that, except for it being the worst decision, obviously. I still believe it's the right thing.

EDIT. It also doesn't show that the undecideds were swayed by the leave campaign. It's just an assumption. They could equally have reacted and rejected the lies from the remain camp, or a variety of other factors.

    Christ, you're thick.!!

I'm well aware of what a recent Yougov poll says. That's quite likely to be the current mood with so much uncertainty and oil hovering around $40-45 a barrel - which incidentally is below the extraction cost of many Scottish fields.

My suggestion that you take another poll when the oil price inevitably rises again. It's a fact that the SNP - a blatantly nationalist party whose main policy is Scottish independence - is by far and away the largest party in their parliament. Do you seriously think that many thick Jocks voted for them not knowing what their main aim and policy was??

As I posted earlier, if there was indeed no appetite for independence then the SNP would be fringe party of little importance. They're not!!...

If and when oil rises, you will see the result of another poll markedly different!..

Now, toddle along and bore the arse of somebody else.,

Yep, you keep repeating that. It's as irrelevant now as when you first posted it.

Apart from making you look more childish and foolish, what purpose do you think your "insults" serve?

So why do politicians not listen to its voters then, a controlled immigration policy = happy voters.

Because they are racist I guess, thats why Labour will not be in power for a long long time

We disagree on the decision obviously but I did say in that post that it was also in part a rejection of the Remain campaign, they got it spectacularly wrong imo. If they'd have stuck to the basic economic realities throughout rather than being drawn into the hyperbole to combat the lies of Leave then the outcome could have been different.

What should come out of this however, is a reversal of the '99 legislation that exempts political advertising from the basic rules of the advertising code. As it did have an impact, and it was blatant lies.

Not at all, we voted out because we want less immigration (says the poll) so IF politicians listed in the first place, we would have voted to stay in (maybe)

That wasn't the part of that post I thought was nonsensical, it was the fact that your conclusion from that was the politicians (notably Labour) were racist?

We all know that one of the prime motives of the little Englander brigade was to close the door on Johnny Foreigner.

Unskilled labour has been vital to keeping the economy on the upward trajectory in the last decade though.

Look at the number of Eastern Europeans filling mundane jobs that our own feckless can't be arsed doing as they'd rather milk the benefits lifestyle.

The simple fact is Kustard that EU immigrants have provided a net gain to our economy.

People like you spout 'control' and the lazy examples of some wrong'uns arriving (who incidentally commit no more crime pro rata than the domestic populous - fact) in order to justify your xenophobic stance.

I don't even know why you're trying to deny it, you've openly said you hate Pig ****ing Muslims and you have no intention of ever living in a multi cultural environment. Which at least is having the courage of your convictions, but don't try and dress it up as something it isn't.
