    Have you been?
    What's their currency again?

Once you've answered you might realise what a dumb response you've given.

So yes we could follow Liechtenstein and not have a national currency if you wish. I'm sure that if it was the Euro we adopted then the question of paying into the European union would become a bit of a mute topic.

    Edit: just seen earlier comments.

I don't think you have kept up with the discussion. I made it clear we wouldn't act like Liechtenstein.

You could have kept it topical and used the version where it's the Scottish coast guard that was supposed to have been involved in that mythical exchange. <ok>

Topical? That would be novel for this thread. It's perfectly apt (including the mythical part) <ok>

I fear Pete would have refused to believe the spaniard and gone ahead full throttle into shore!

I guess it shows that if the remoanians carry on ignoring the plain facts, they'll be holed below the water line and reliant on the rest to save them.

Bullshit! Barroso has said that the EU would look at an application from an independent Scotland. Whether it would be successful or not we have no way of knowing. The situation is unclear. Therefore your categorical statement you know they wouldn't be accepted is incorrect.

I'm not going through the Scottish vote thing again, I've done that already with your boneheaded Hull mate..

No, I don't know that, you bonehead! And neither do you or your equally dense Hull mate.

They could look at an application from anyone. They'd still find it doesn't meet the criteria, and would be vetoed by several member states.

Yep, it's clear they don't meet the current entry criteria, and your neighbours and others don't want them.

Your life seems to be full of unhappiness about the way the world is different to your ideas so you thrash around hurling insults as some kind of compensation.
