Whilst I generally agree with a lot of what you say Spain, I'm going to utter a sentence I never thought I would (and will probably live to regret) and say that I agree with Pete's comments.
At this moment in time Scotland voted to remain in the UK and voted to remain in Europe. That is fact.
Everything beyond this is pure speculation and posturing from Sturgeon. I'm currently working with some Scots, who previously worked In the oil industry and they tell me they don't trust Sturgeon and would rather remain in the UK? I know it's only a couple of guys but they are pretty damping of Sturgeons motives. (I hope I have spelt her name right?)

Scotland voted to stay in a UK that was part of the EU. They also voted to stay in the EU (by a bigger majority than voted to stay in the UK). The political landscape has now changed so the result of the inevitable next independence referendum could well be different. Only an ignorant **** would fail to understand that. Pete, you are that ignorant ****.

Like I say, I give up. You really are terminally dense!

Pete, put your trackkies on - you know the ones with the yellow map of India down the front - and take the mutts for a walk.

Maybe the fresh air will clear your befuddled head!...

You are right to give up. Accept the results of the referendums. Get on with your life. Find other people to insult. I'm not expecting you to change your style.

I disagree, mate. The very existence of the SNP as by far their largest party - an out and out nationalist party - shows their true feelings and intentions. They would vote for independence in a heartbeat if they thought their lifestyles wouldn't be affected or even enhanced.

If oil gets back up close to $100 again, Sturgeon will push hard for another referendum, plus a promise to negotiate their way back into the EU. Under those circumstances, I'm convinced she will win.

Wales, with 3% wanting to leave the UK, would vote to leave the UK if they thought their lifestyles would be enhanced. Wales and Scotland both know they need the UK. There's not going to be another referendum. If Scotland left the UK the EU wouldn't want to fund Scotland's lifestyle so they would never have a chance of joining the EU before the EU disappeared.

I'm not disagreeing with your comments as such Spain as I don't really follow Scottish politics and did say that it's only a couple of guys, but the point I was trying to defend Pete on (and I will go and wash my mouth out, to try and get rid of the bitter taste), is that we all are guilty of posting opinions as facts.
The only way we will truly know if Scotland now want independence is another referendum. Up until that point everything other comment is pure speculation and if we should all learn anything from the EU referendum, is that it doesn't always go the way we think.

In the same way I defended you earlier, yet again this is not fact just your opinion. Unless you have a crystal ball you have no way of knowing what they want in the future.

I agree it's partly opinion mixed with some conjecture. But it's based on solid logic and existing fact. The very existence and large prevelance of the SNP tells you what a lot of Scots really feel.

If they had no desire under any circumstances for independence, there would be no out and out nationalist party, like the SNP. Or if there was, they'd be a small fringe party - they're not!...

The one thing we all agree on (apart from Kustard and Dull Hull) is that Pete is an obese, bigoted ****.

I assume you meant Leichtenstein, the sixth smallest country in the world, rather than Lichtenstein the artist as he is dead.
This is a country with a population of less than 40,000 people and needs over 20,000 people to commute daily from Switzerland, Germany and Austria to ensure it's economy can function properly. They are in the EEA/EU single market and use the Swiss Franc as it's currency.
If you think we could operate within the single market on a similar basis to Leichtenstein you are more deluded than you at first appeared.
